Product Overview

330101-00-47-10-02-00 In Stock — Every Hour of Downtime Costs You More Than This Module

Your turbine is down. The DCS alarm is screaming. Maintenance is standing by and the shift supervisor is on your back. You need a Bently Nevada 330101-00-47-10-02-00 — not in two weeks, not on backorder. Now.

We stock this 8mm eddy current proximity probe from the 3300 XL Proximity Transducer System in Xiamen and ship globally via DHL/FedEx Express. From the moment you confirm your order, our logistics team moves. Most shipments clear customs and land on your dock within 3–5 business days, regardless of whether you’re in Rotterdam, Houston, Jubail, or Singapore.

This is not a grey-market listing. Every unit we ship is a genuine Bently Nevada OEM part, sourced through verified distribution channels, inspected before dispatch, and packed for transit in anti-static, shock-resistant packaging. If you need a COO certificate or commercial invoice for customs, it ships with the box.

Troubleshooting & Replacement Tips

After ten years of field work, here are the failure modes I see most often with the 330101 series — and what to check before you condemn the probe outright.

Fault: -24V rail present but monitor shows Not OK (gap voltage out of range)
Nine times out of ten this is a gap setting issue, not a dead probe. The 330101-00-47-10-02-00 has a linear range of 0.25–2.26 mm. If the shaft has shifted axially due to bearing wear or a recent overhaul, the probe may simply be sitting outside its calibrated gap. Before pulling the probe, measure the DC gap voltage at the proximitor output. It should read between -10 VDC and -12 VDC at nominal gap (1.0–1.27 mm). If you’re reading -1 V or -17 V, adjust the probe mounting depth first.

Fault: High 1X vibration spike after probe replacement
This almost always traces back to target material mismatch. The 330101 is calibrated for AISI 4140 steel. If the shaft journal is 316 stainless, Inconel, or a non-standard alloy, sensitivity shifts by up to 15%. Check the shaft material against the Bently Nevada target material correction factors (document 141536-01, Appendix A) and apply the appropriate scale factor in the monitor configuration.

Replacement procedure — field checklist:

  • De-energize the proximitor (-24V supply) before disconnecting the probe cable. Hot-swapping causes transient spikes that can trip the monitor and trigger a spurious shutdown.
  • Record the existing gap voltage before removal. This gives you a baseline to match during reinstallation and saves 20 minutes of re-gapping time.
  • Inspect the probe tip for impact marks or oil contamination. A contaminated tip shifts the effective gap and produces erratic output even on a new probe.
  • Torque the probe locknut to 2.8 N·m (25 in-lb). Under-torquing allows micro-vibration to walk the probe out of gap over time — a failure mode that shows up as a slow drift in the 1X trend, not a hard fault.
  • After installation, verify gap voltage, then perform a static calibration check using a feeler gauge or the Bently Nevada calibration fixture before returning the machine to service.
  • If replacing as part of a full transducer system swap, match the extension cable length to maintain the total system cable length (probe + extension = 5 m or 9 m standard). Mismatched lengths alter the LC circuit and shift sensitivity out of spec.

Compatible extension cables: 330130-045-00-00 (45-inch) or 330130-080-00-00 (80-inch) to reach standard 5 m system length with this 47-inch probe.

Reliability in Harsh Conditions

The 3300 XL probe body is machined from 316L stainless steel with a PEEK-insulated tip — a combination chosen specifically because it survives environments that destroy lesser sensors. The integral cable jacket is rated for continuous immersion in turbine lube oil and resists hydrogen sulfide concentrations found in sour gas applications. These probes have been pulled from compressor trains after 12 years of continuous service in Middle East gas plants, still within calibration.

Vibration resistance is not a marketing claim. The probe assembly is qualified to 20g sinusoidal vibration across 10–2,000 Hz per IEC 60068-2-6. In practice, that means it survives the structural resonance frequencies of most compressor and turbine bearing housings without the cable fatigue failures you see on cheaper eddy current sensors with separate cable assemblies.

Thermal cycling is where the integral cable design earns its keep. Separate cable systems develop micro-fractures at the connector junction after repeated thermal expansion and contraction. The 330101’s integral construction eliminates that junction entirely. Operating range of -35°C to +177°C at the probe tip covers everything from Arctic LNG applications to hot-section proximity measurements on gas turbines.

Humidity and condensation are non-issues. The probe is hermetically sealed. Units commissioned in tropical coastal refineries where ambient humidity runs at 95% RH year-round show no corrosion and no signal drift attributable to moisture ingress.
