Fault Code Er.01 / Er.02 — Encoder Signal Loss: Nine times out of ten this is the encoder cable, not the drive. Before you pull the RT-001AXE, reseat the encoder connector at both ends and check for chafing where the cable exits the motor housing. If the fault clears on power cycle but returns under load, the cable is intermittent. Replace the cable first. If Er.01 persists with a known-good cable, the drive’s encoder input circuit has failed — that’s your replacement trigger.

Fault Code Er.10 — Overvoltage on Deceleration: The internal braking circuit is saturated. Check whether the external regenerative resistor (if fitted) has gone open-circuit. Measure resistance across the braking resistor terminals with power off. Spec is typically 40–100 Ω depending on configuration. An open resistor will push DC bus voltage above the trip threshold every time the motor decelerates a high-inertia load. Replacing the drive without addressing this will fault the new unit within minutes.

Fault Code Er.20 — IPM Overcurrent / IGBT Trip: This is the most common hard-failure mode on the RT-001AXE. The power module has shorted, usually from a sustained overload, a phase-to-phase short in the motor winding, or a failed output contactor that welded closed.
