330104-00-12-10-02-05 — Stop the Clock on Your Downtime. Ship Today.
Every hour a turbine, compressor, or pump sits idle because of a failed proximity probe costs real money — production losses, contractual penalties, and the kind of pressure that makes a 2 AM phone call feel routine. The Bently Nevada 330104-00-12-10-02-05 is in stock at our Xiamen warehouse right now. We don’t quote lead times in weeks. We quote in hours.
This is a 100% original Bently Nevada 3300 XL Series 5 mm eddy-current proximity probe — not a clone, not a “compatible” substitute. The same part your OEM specified, the same calibration your proximitor expects, the same signal your 3500 rack trusts. Pull the failed unit, thread in this one, set gap to 40 mil, verify output voltage, and get your machine back online.

Troubleshooting & Replacement Tips
Ten years of field calls on 3300 XL systems teach you the same lessons repeatedly. Here is what actually matters when you are standing in front of a failed probe at 3 AM:
Fault Code 01 / Upscale Drive (monitor reading full-scale positive): The probe tip is open-circuit. Nine times out of ten this is a fractured integral cable at the probe body — the coaxial center conductor breaks from vibration fatigue right where the cable exits the stainless housing. Flex the cable near the probe body while watching the monitor. If the reading flickers, the cable is the culprit. Replace the probe assembly; field repair of the integral cable is not viable.
Fault Code 02 / Downscale Drive (monitor reading full-scale negative): Short circuit somewhere in the measurement chain. Disconnect the extension cable at the proximitor first. If the fault clears, the extension cable has a shorted shield. If the fault persists with the extension cable disconnected, the probe itself is shorted — replace it.
Noisy or erratic vibration reading without a fault code: Check the gap voltage first. At nominal 1.0 mm (40 mil) gap, the proximitor output should read −8.0 VDC ± 0.5 V. If gap voltage is correct but the vibration signal is noisy, suspect a loose probe locknut allowing micro-movement, or a target surface with a keyway or repair weld passing through the measurement zone. Recheck probe mounting torque (typically 14–20 N·m depending on probe size and bracket material).
Replacement procedure — critical steps:
- De-energize the proximitor before disconnecting the probe. The −24 VDC bias on the coaxial connector is live during normal operation.
- Record the existing gap voltage before removal. This gives you a baseline for the new probe installation and confirms the target surface condition has not changed.
- Clean the probe bore threads with a wire brush. Debris in the threads causes inconsistent seating and gap measurement error.
- Install the new 330104-00-12-10-02-05 finger-tight, then back off one full turn. Adjust gap to achieve −8.0 VDC output (1.0 mm nominal), then tighten the locknut to specification. Do not set gap by mechanical measurement alone — always verify electrically.
- The total cable length (integral probe cable + extension cable) must match the proximitor calibration. The 330104-00-12-10-02-05 has a 0.3 m integral cable. Verify your extension cable length matches the original system documentation. Mixing cable lengths without recalibration shifts the scale factor and introduces measurement error that will not trigger a fault code.
- After installation, perform a static gap check and a slow-roll vibration check before returning the machine to service. A reading above 0.5 mil pk-pk at slow roll (below first critical speed) indicates a probe or mounting issue, not a rotor problem.
Target material note: The 330104-00-12-10-02-05 is factory-calibrated for AISI 4140 steel. If your shaft is a different alloy (17-4 PH stainless, Inconel, titanium), the scale factor will deviate. Bently Nevada publishes correction factors for common alloys — request the target material correction table if your application uses non-standard shaft material.
Reliability in Harsh Conditions
The 3300 XL probe design has been in continuous production and field service for over two decades. The 316 stainless steel housing is not a marketing specification — it is the material choice that keeps this probe functional in offshore platforms where salt spray and condensation are constant, in refineries where H₂S and hydrocarbon vapors are present, and in power plant bearing pedestals where bearing temperatures routinely exceed 120 °C.
The IP67 rating on the probe body means the sensing element survives temporary immersion — relevant in applications where cooling water or process fluid leaks are a realistic scenario. The integral coaxial cable uses a fluoropolymer jacket rated to +177 °C, the same temperature ceiling as the probe body itself. There is no weak link in the thermal chain.
Vibration resistance is inherent to the non-contact measurement principle. Unlike contact sensors, there are no moving parts, no wear surfaces, and no mechanical fatigue mechanism in the sensing element itself. The failure modes are limited to cable damage (mechanical) and connector corrosion (environmental) — both of which are visible on inspection and preventable with correct installation practice.
ATEX certification covers the probe for use in Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous areas. Documentation is available on request — specify your required zone classification and gas group when ordering for hazardous area applications.
Global Express Logistics
Our warehouse is located in Xiamen, Fujian Province, China — one of the country’s primary export hubs with direct access to DHL, FedEx, and UPS international express networks. For critical-path orders, this geography matters: Xiamen to Singapore is next-day. Xiamen to Dubai is two days. Xiamen to Houston or Rotterdam is three to four days on express service.
Standard dispatch process:
- Orders confirmed before 14:00 CST are dispatched same business day.
- Each shipment includes a commercial invoice, packing list, and HS code declaration (HS 9031.80 for proximity measurement instruments) to minimize customs clearance delays.
- DHL Express and FedEx International Priority are the default carriers for time-critical shipments. Economy options are available for non-urgent procurement.
- Tracking numbers are provided within two hours of dispatch.
- For destinations with import restrictions or specific customs requirements (India, Brazil, Russia), contact us before ordering — we handle the documentation proactively.
If your plant is facing an active shutdown and you need a confirmed delivery date before placing an order, send the destination address and required-by date to [email protected] or WhatsApp +86 18359268345. We will confirm the carrier transit time and provide a written delivery commitment before you commit to the purchase.
