1. Parameter Backup First — No Exceptions. Before pulling the failed unit, connect MOVISUITE® via the service port and export the full parameter set (.mup file). If the drive is completely dead and will not communicate, check the nameplate for the firmware version and rebuild the parameter file manually from your commissioning records. Skipping this step means re-commissioning from scratch on a live line.

2. Firmware Version Matching. The replacement unit firmware must match or be compatible with your existing MOVISUITE® project file. Mismatched firmware versions cause F-fault codes on startup (F-43, F-44 series). Check the firmware label on the unit housing before installation. If the version differs, update via MOVISUITE® before connecting to the fieldbus.

3. EtherNet/IP and PROFINET Node Address. The E21A option stores its IP address and device name in non-volatile memory.
