Fault codes that point directly at the gate driver:
- FF-52 / FF-53 (Short Circuit) — IGBT shoot-through triggered by a degraded gate signal. Before condemning the IGBT module itself, swap the CINT-4421C first. A weak gate drive signal causes the same fault signature as a shorted power device, and the card is a fraction of the cost.
- FF-54 (Earth Fault) — Can be a genuine ground fault in the motor cable, but a leaking gate driver that partially fires the wrong IGBT leg will produce an identical fault. Isolate the motor, clear the fault, and watch whether it returns immediately on restart — if it does, the driver card is suspect.
