Product Overview

330101-00-96-10-02-05 In Stock Now — Every Hour of Downtime Costs You More Than This Probe

Your turbine tripped at 02:00. The DCS is screaming a HIGH-HIGH vibration alarm on the radial bearing channel. Maintenance pulled the probe — tip is shorted, cable armor cracked from thermal cycling. You need a Bently Nevada 330101-00-96-10-02-05 on-site before the next shift handover or production stays locked out. We have it. It ships today from Xiamen.

Troubleshooting & Replacement Tips

Step 1 — Confirm the fault before you pull the probe. At the Proximitor output terminal, measure DC voltage with a calibrated DMM. A healthy gap reads –10.0 VDC ± 0.5 VDC on AISI 4140 steel at 1.0 mm (40 mil). If you read –24 VDC (rail high), the probe tip is open-circuit — cable break or connector failure. If you read 0 VDC or positive voltage, the tip is shorted — physical contact or severe contamination. Either fault condemns the probe; the Proximitor itself is likely undamaged.

Step 2 — Verify system cable length before ordering. The 330101-00-96-10-02-05 carries a 96-inch (8-foot) integral cable. Your extension cable (330130 or 330180 series) must bring the total system length to the value stamped on your Proximitor label — typically 5 m, 9 m, or 15 m. Mismatched total length shifts the scale factor by up to 8%, which will cause the monitor card to read incorrect displacement and may prevent the machine from clearing its startup permissive. Do not substitute a different cable-length variant without recalibrating the Proximitor.

Step 3 — Gap-setting procedure on reinstallation. With the machine on turning gear (slow roll), thread the new probe into the bracket until the tip contacts the shaft, then back out 1.0 mm (40 mil) — confirmed by –10.0 VDC at the Proximitor output. Lock the jam nut to the torque value in BN document 141536-01 (typically 20 N·m for M10 × 1.0 stainless). Do not rely on thread-count estimation alone; always verify with a DMM before closing the junction box.

Step 4 — Common fault codes on 3500 monitor cards.

  • OK LED off / Not OK relay energized: Proximitor output outside –2 VDC to –22 VDC window. Check gap, cable continuity, and supply voltage at Proximitor.
  • CH BYPASS active: Channel was manually bypassed during previous maintenance. Clear bypass in the 3500 rack configuration software before returning to service.
  • ALERT / DANGER setpoint trip at slow roll: Runout (mechanical or electrical) exceeds setpoint. Perform 1× runout compensation in the monitor configuration — do not raise the DANGER setpoint to mask the issue.
  • Intermittent OK dropout: Suspect connector corrosion at the probe-to-extension-cable junction. Clean with contact cleaner, inspect O-ring seal, and re-torque coupling nut.

Step 5 — 3300 XL vs. legacy 3300 compatibility. The XL probe is calibrated for the XL Proximitor oscillator frequency. Installing a 330101 (XL) probe on a legacy 3300 Proximitor (non-XL) produces a scale factor error of approximately –15%. The monitor will not alarm this condition — it will simply report wrong displacement. Always match probe series to Proximitor series. The Proximitor model number is on the front label of the module.

Reliability in Harsh Conditions

The 330101-00-96-10-02-05 is not a laboratory instrument. It was designed from the ground up for the worst environments rotating machinery can produce. The 316 stainless steel probe tip resists sulfidic corrosion in sour-gas compressor trains and survives continuous oil-mist immersion without degradation of the sensing coil. The armored integral cable withstands the mechanical abuse of turbine enclosures — vibration levels exceeding 50 g broadband, repeated thermal cycling between cold startup and full-load operating temperature, and the occasional impact from maintenance tools in confined spaces.

Thermal qualification extends to +177 °C continuous, which covers hot-section installations on gas turbine bearing pedestals without the need for air-cooling purges or standoff extensions. The coaxial cable geometry provides inherent rejection of common-mode electromagnetic interference from variable-frequency drives, high-current bus bars, and adjacent motor starters — noise sources that routinely corrupt signals from single-ended sensor designs.

Every unit leaving our facility has passed a pre-shipment inspection protocol: visual examination of tip geometry and cable armor integrity, connector pin-out and impedance check, and static coil resistance verification against the factory acceptance band. Units that do not pass are quarantined — they do not ship. You will not receive a probe that fails on first power-up.

Global Express Logistics

Our dispatch hub is located in Xiamen, Fujian, China — one of the country’s primary export ports with direct daily freight connections to DHL Express, FedEx International Priority, and UPS Worldwide Express gateways. For most destinations, the logistics chain works as follows:

  • Order confirmed before 14:00 CST: Same-day dispatch. DHL/FedEx pickup collected by 17:00 CST.
  • Transit to Southeast Asia (SG, MY, TH, ID): 1–2 business days door-to-door.
  • Transit to Middle East (AE, SA, QA, KW): 2–3 business days via DHL Express.
  • Transit to Europe (DE, NL, GB, FR, IT): 2–4 business days via FedEx International Priority.
  • Transit to North America (US, CA, MX): 2–3 business days via FedEx or UPS.
  • Transit to Australia / New Zealand: 3–4 business days via DHL Express.

All shipments include a commercial invoice with accurate HS code classification (HS 9031.80 — measuring/checking instruments), full export documentation, and real-time tracking from pickup to delivery. For customers in countries with import duty exemptions on industrial instrumentation, we can provide a detailed packing list and certificate of origin to support customs clearance. Emergency same-day courier arrangements are available for critical plant shutdowns — contact us directly on WhatsApp for expedited handling.

We have shipped to refineries in Saudi Arabia, power stations in Germany, LNG terminals in Australia, and petrochemical complexes across Southeast Asia. The probe arrives in the same condition it left our warehouse — rigid outer carton, ESD-safe anti-static inner bag, desiccant pack, and foam-formed insert to prevent tip damage in transit.
