330103-00-16-10-01-00 In Stock Now — Every Hour of Downtime Costs You Money
Your turbine tripped. Your compressor is locked out. The control room is waiting. You already know the root cause: the proximity probe is dead, and the machinery protection system won’t release the interlock until a verified replacement is installed and gapped correctly. The Bently Nevada 330103-00-16-10-01-00 is on our shelf in Xiamen right now. We ship same day. That’s the only thing that matters at 2 AM during an unplanned outage.
This is a genuine Bently Nevada 3300 XL 8 mm proximity probe with a 5-metre integral cable, M10×1 thread, and 200 mV/mil sensitivity — a direct, zero-compromise replacement for any existing 3300 XL installation. No driver recalibration. No system reconfiguration. Pull the failed probe, install this one, set the gap, verify the DC output voltage, release the interlock. That’s the entire procedure.

Troubleshooting & Replacement Tips
After ten years of field work on rotating machinery protection systems, these are the failure modes and installation mistakes I see most often with the 330103-00-16-10-01-00 and the broader 3300 XL probe family.
Fault: OK relay drops — monitor shows Not OK with no vibration event
Ninety percent of the time this is a gap voltage out of range, not a failed probe. Before condemning the probe, check the DC bias voltage at the Proximitor® output. It should read between −10 VDC and −18 VDC for a properly gapped 8 mm probe. If you’re reading −24 VDC (supply rail), the probe tip is too far from the target. If you’re reading 0 VDC or close to it, the probe is shorted or the cable is crushed. Only if the DC bias is within range and the monitor still faults should you suspect the probe electronics.
Fault: High vibration alarm with no process change
Check the extension cable connection first. The coaxial connector between the integral cable and the extension cable (330130 Series) is the most common failure point in high-vibration environments. Corrosion, fretting, or a loose lock ring will inject noise that the monitor interprets as vibration. Disconnect, clean with contact cleaner, reconnect, and re-torque to spec before replacing the probe.
Replacement Procedure
- Isolate the channel in the 3500/3300 monitor — bypass the OK relay to prevent spurious trips during swap.
- Disconnect the extension cable from the integral cable connector. Grip the connector body, not the cable.
- Unthread the probe from the bracket using the M10×1 thread. Count the turns to preserve approximate gap as a starting point.
- Install the 330103-00-16-10-01-00 replacement. Thread in until the tip is approximately 1.0 mm from the target shaft surface.
- Power the Proximitor® and measure DC bias voltage. Adjust gap until you read −12 VDC ± 1 VDC.
- Lock the probe with the jam nut. Torque to 5 N·m — do not overtighten.
- Reconnect the extension cable. Verify DC bias has not shifted. Remove bypass, restore channel, confirm OK status.
- Document the final gap voltage in the maintenance record for future trending.
Target material note: The 3300 XL 8 mm system is factory-calibrated for AISI 4140 steel. Shafts made from stainless, Inconel, or titanium alloys will produce a different sensitivity. Apply Bently Nevada’s published material correction factors or your gap calibration will be off.
Reliability in Harsh Conditions
The 330103-00-16-10-01-00 was designed specifically for the inside of turbine bearing housings, compressor pedestals, and pump seal chambers — environments that destroy ordinary instrumentation within weeks. The probe body is machined from stainless steel with a hermetically sealed tip assembly. The integral cable uses a fluoropolymer jacket rated to +177°C continuous, surviving the radiant heat of a steam turbine casing without insulation breakdown.
Vibration immunity is built into the mechanical design. The M10×1 thread engagement combined with the jam nut locking system prevents the probe from backing out under sustained vibration loads. We have seen installations where this probe ran continuously for over eight years inside a gas turbine bearing housing without a single false trip attributable to the probe itself.
Moisture ingress is the other field killer. The coaxial connector on the integral cable is sealed, but the junction with the extension cable is not — it relies on the installer to apply correct weatherproofing. In humid tropical environments — Southeast Asia, Middle East coastal sites — always wrap the connector junction with self-amalgamating tape after installation. Skipping this step is the single most common cause of premature probe failure in high-humidity plants.
The probe electronics are passive. There are no active components inside the probe body. The oscillator and demodulator circuitry live in the Proximitor® driver. This means the probe has no firmware, no configuration, and no wear-out mechanism other than physical damage to the cable or tip. A probe that passes a bench continuity and insulation resistance test is a good probe.
Global Express Logistics
Our warehouse is in Xiamen, Fujian Province, China — one of the most logistics-efficient export hubs on the mainland, with direct access to DHL, FedEx, and UPS international gateways. For urgent replacement orders, this geography matters: Xiamen to Singapore is overnight. Xiamen to Dubai is 48 hours. Xiamen to Rotterdam or Houston is 72 hours door-to-door on express freight.
- Orders confirmed before 15:00 CST ship same business day.
- DHL Express Worldwide and FedEx International Priority are our primary carriers for single-unit urgent orders.
- Each shipment includes a commercial invoice, packing list, and certificate of origin — pre-prepared to minimize customs clearance time at destination.
- HS Code: 9031.80 — a clean, low-friction classification for most destination countries.
- For orders requiring import permits or end-user declarations, contact us before ordering so documentation is prepared in parallel with dispatch.
- Tracking numbers sent via email and WhatsApp within 2 hours of dispatch.
We do not use consolidators or freight forwarders for express single-unit shipments. Your replacement probe goes directly from our shelf to the DHL/FedEx gateway — no intermediate handling, no delay at a consolidation hub.
