Product Overview

CC-TNWD01 Network Termination Down — Every Minute Costs You Money. We Ship Today.

Your Experion PKS C300 cluster just lost its FTE backbone. The HMI is throwing CTLR COMM FAIL alarms, operators are switching to manual, and production is bleeding. You don’t need a sales pitch — you need a CC-TNWD01 on a plane out of Xiamen within hours. That’s exactly what we do.

The Honeywell CC-TNWD01 is the Network Module IOTA (Input/Output Termination Assembly) that anchors the Fault Tolerant Ethernet segment in your C300 controller node. Without it, your Series C I/O modules go dark. There is no workaround, no bypass, no software patch. The only fix is a physical replacement — and we stock it.

Troubleshooting & Replacement Tips

Before you pull the module, run through this checklist. Swapping hardware on a live C300 node without preparation turns a 2-hour fix into a 12-hour nightmare.

Step 1 — Confirm the fault is the CC-TNWD01, not the FTE switch. In Experion Station, navigate to System Status > Controller Detail. If you see FTE PORT FAULT on both primary and secondary paths simultaneously, the IOTA termination assembly is the prime suspect. A single-path fault usually points to the FTE switch or cable, not the module itself.

Step 2 — Check for address conflicts before removal. The CC-TNWD01 does not carry a user-configurable node address — addressing is handled by the C300 controller backplane. However, if you are replacing into a different physical slot, verify the slot number matches the original configuration in Experion Builder. Slot reassignment without a corresponding database change will cause the controller to reject the I/O scan.

Step 3 — Power-down sequence matters. Do not hot-swap the CC-TNWD01 unless your system is running Experion R430 or later with the hot-swap IOTA feature enabled in the system configuration. On earlier revisions, remove 24 VDC field power from the I/O modules on that node first, then remove the IOTA. Pulling the IOTA live on an older revision can corrupt the C300 controller’s I/O map and force a full controller restart.

Step 4 — Firmware matching. The CC-TNWD01 itself carries no user-upgradeable firmware, but the C300 controller firmware must be R400.x or later to recognize the module’s FTE port negotiation. If you are running a legacy R300 system, this module will not enumerate correctly. Contact us — we can source the correct legacy variant.

Step 5 — Post-installation verification. After seating the replacement module, observe the FTE LED indicators: solid green on both ports within 90 seconds confirms successful link negotiation. If one port stays amber, check the FTE cable termination at the switch. If both ports stay red, the C300 controller has not yet recognized the new IOTA — perform a Controller Reload from Experion Station.

Common fault codes associated with CC-TNWD01 failure:

  • CTLR COMM FAIL — Controller communication lost; FTE segment down
  • IOM OFFLINE — I/O module offline due to lost network termination
  • FTE PORT FAULT — Physical FTE port failure on the IOTA
  • NODE UNREACHABLE — C300 node dropped from Experion network scan

Reliability in Harsh Conditions

Refinery cabinets are not server rooms. The CC-TNWD01 is engineered to operate where most electronics fail — and we only ship units that prove it.

Every unit in our Xiamen warehouse undergoes a 48-hour burn-in cycle under elevated temperature (55°C ambient) before it is cleared for dispatch. We test FTE port signal integrity under simulated vibration loads consistent with IEC 60068-2-6 (sinusoidal vibration, 10–150 Hz, 1g). Modules that show any packet loss or port instability during this cycle are quarantined — they do not ship.

The CC-TNWD01’s DIN Rail form factor uses a positive-locking clip mechanism rated for continuous vibration environments. The PCB conformal coating provides protection against humidity ingress up to 95% RH non-condensing, which covers the majority of coastal refinery and chemical plant environments in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America — our three highest-volume shipping regions.

Anti-static packaging with a calibrated humidity indicator card is standard on every shipment. If the card reads above 30% RH on arrival, we cover the cost of re-inspection — no questions asked.

Global Express Logistics

Our dispatch hub is in Xiamen, Fujian — one of China’s primary industrial export ports with direct DHL and FedEx gateway access. Here is what happens from the moment you confirm your order:

  • T+0 (Order confirmed before 15:00 CST): Unit pulled from shelf, functional test completed, anti-static packaging applied, commercial invoice and packing list generated.
  • T+4 hours: Shipment handed to DHL Express or FedEx International Priority — your choice. Tracking number issued to your email within 30 minutes of handover.
  • T+24–48 hours: Delivery to most destinations in Southeast Asia, Japan, South Korea, and Australia. Middle East and Europe typically 48–72 hours. North America 48–96 hours depending on customs clearance speed.

We pre-declare all shipments as Industrial Electronic Control Module – HS Code 8537.10 with accurate valuation to avoid customs holds. For customers in countries with import licensing requirements (India, Brazil, Indonesia), we can provide a proforma invoice and certificate of origin in advance to pre-clear customs before the shipment arrives.

Emergency freight options — including charter courier for multi-unit urgent orders — are available on request. If your plant is down and standard express is not fast enough, call us directly on WhatsApp and we will find a solution.
