Troubleshooting & Replacement Tips

Step 1 — Verify the fault before touching anything. Pull up the C300 node in Experion Control Builder. A PWRRED_LOST alarm with the controller still running means one supply has failed and the standby is carrying the load — you have a window to do a live hot-swap. A PWRFAIL alarm on both supplies means the chassis has lost power entirely; do not attempt hot-swap, de-energize the chassis first.

Step 2 — Eliminate the upstream 24 VDC bus. Measure the DC input at the TC-RPSCA2 terminal block with a calibrated meter. Anything below 21.6 VDC will cause the module to fault regardless of its internal condition.
