Swapping a T9402 in a live Trusted TMR chassis is not the same as pulling a standard PLC card. Here’s what you need to know before you touch anything:

1. Confirm the fault is the module, not the field wiring. Before pulling the T9402, check the Trusted ToolSuite diagnostics screen. A channel-level fault (e.g., “Input Discrepancy” or “Channel Open Circuit”) that tracks across all 32 channels simultaneously almost always points to the module itself — not field devices. If only 1–4 channels are faulting, trace the field wiring first. Pulling a good module wastes time you don’t have.

2. Verify chassis slot assignment before insertion. The Trusted TMR chassis uses a fixed slot-to-function mapping. The T9402 must be inserted into a slot pre-configured for DI modules in your system database.
