Replacement Procedure — Field Checklist

• Document the existing module IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and DHCP setting from the embedded web server before pulling the unit.
• Export the Control Expert project and note the NOC slot position. The replacement must go into the exact same slot number or you will need to re-rack the I/O map.
• The BMENOC0301 uses auto-addressing via the backplane. The CPU assigns the module address automatically based on slot position. No rotary switch or DIP switch setting is required. This is a common point of confusion for engineers coming from M340 or Quantum backgrounds.
• After seating the new module, perform a cold boot. Wait for the RUN LED to go green before attempting to reconnect Control Expert.
