Product Overview

TSXPSY1610 — Line Down? This Module Ships Before Your Next Shift Change.

You’ve already done the diagnosis. The TSX Premium rack is dark, the 24 VDC bus is dead, and the TSXPSY1610 is the confirmed failure point. What you need now isn’t a product page — it’s a confirmed ship date. We have the TSXPSY1610 physically warehoused in Xiamen. Inspected. Boxed. Waiting for your order number. Cut-off for same-day DHL Express dispatch is 15:00 CST. If you’re reading this before that window, the module can be moving toward your facility today.

Every hour a TSX Premium rack sits cold costs money — lost throughput, idle labor, contractual exposure. We’ve shipped this exact module to automotive stamping lines in Germany, water treatment facilities in the UAE, and packaging plants in Southeast Asia. The process is fast because we’ve built it to be fast. No middlemen, no warehouse delays, no “we’ll check stock and call you back.”

Troubleshooting & Replacement Tips

Step 1 — Verify the fault before pulling the module. A dead rack doesn’t automatically mean a dead PSU. Before condemning the TSXPSY1610, confirm AC input is present at the terminal block (100–240 VAC). If AC is confirmed and the 24 VDC bus measures below 22 V or reads zero, the supply has failed. Also check the PWR LED on the rack front panel: solid green = supply healthy; off or flashing = supply fault or AC loss. Don’t skip this step — swapping a good PSU because the upstream breaker tripped is a waste of a four-hour logistics window.

Fault pattern reference — what the TSXPSY1610 tells you before it dies:

  • CPU ERR LED active, PWR LED extinguished: The processor is running on residual bus capacitance. Hard shutdown is imminent. This is a confirmed PSU failure — order immediately.
  • Rack resets at irregular intervals, no fault code logged in PL7/Unity: Degraded hold-up capacitors inside the PSU. The module passes cold-start self-test but cannot bridge a 20 ms mains interruption. Behavior worsens with age and thermal cycling. Replace at the next available window — do not wait for a hard failure.
  • Fan audible, then abrupt rack shutdown, no fault code: Over-temperature protection triggered. The internal fan bearing is failing. Cooldown and restart will restore operation temporarily, but the module will shut down again under load within 20–40 minutes. This is not a thermal management problem — it is a module replacement situation.
  • 24 VDC bus reading 22.5–23.5 V under full rack load: Output regulation is degrading. The rack will continue to operate but I/O modules with tight voltage windows may begin logging spurious faults. Schedule replacement before the voltage drops below the 22 V minimum threshold.

Replacement procedure — field-verified sequence:

  1. Isolate AC mains at the upstream circuit breaker. Verify zero voltage at the PSU terminal block with a CAT III-rated multimeter. Do not rely on the rack’s power LED as confirmation of de-energization.
  2. Photograph the AC terminal block wiring before disconnecting — especially in installations where wire labeling has degraded or been modified from the original drawing.
  3. Loosen the terminal block screws and remove the AC wiring. Release the module retention lever and slide the TSXPSY1610 straight out of the leftmost rack slot. The module weighs 4.46 kg — use both hands.
  4. Slide the replacement TSXPSY1610 into the slot until the backplane connector fully engages. The retention lever must click into the locked position. If it does not click, the module is not fully seated and the rack will not power up — do not force the lever.
  5. Reconnect AC wiring to the terminal block. Torque terminal screws to 1.2 N·m. Under-torqued connections are the primary cause of intermittent faults in high-vibration installations — use a calibrated torque screwdriver, not feel.
  6. Restore AC power. Before allowing the CPU to boot, measure the 24 VDC output at the rack bus test points. Target: 24.0 V ± 1% (23.76–24.24 V). If the reading is outside this range, do not proceed — contact us.
  7. Configuration note: none required. The TSXPSY1610 contains no programmable parameters, no DIP switches, no firmware, and no address settings. It is a pure power conversion device. Seat it, torque it, power it — the rack handles the rest.

Interchangeability caution — TSXPSY1610 vs. TSXPSY2600: Both modules are mechanically identical and will physically fit any TSX Premium rack. The electrical difference is significant: the PSY1610 delivers 384 W; the PSY2600 delivers 624 W. If you are substituting a PSY2600 with a PSY1610 due to availability, audit your rack’s total power consumption first. Add the rated consumption of every installed module from their individual datasheets. If the sum exceeds 384 W, the PSY1610 will trip on OCP under load. Contact us before substituting — we will run the power budget calculation with you at no charge.

Reliability in Harsh Conditions

The TSXPSY1610 was type-tested for the environments where TSX Premium racks actually get installed — not for a temperature-controlled equipment room. The following is what that means in practice.

Mechanical vibration: Qualified to IEC 60068-2-6 across the 10–150 Hz spectrum at 1 g continuous. The internal transformer core, capacitor bank, and PCB assembly are mechanically secured to resist resonance-induced fatigue at the frequencies generated by industrial compressors, presses, and conveyor drives. Aftermarket power supplies that are not vibration-qualified typically develop solder joint cracks within 12–18 months in these environments. The OEM module is designed for the full service life of the rack platform.

Thermal performance: The 0 °C to +60 °C operating range is rated at the module’s ambient inlet temperature — not at a controlled room temperature. The active PFC front-end runs cooler than passive designs at equivalent load, reducing internal component junction temperatures and extending electrolytic capacitor life. In enclosed cabinets in hot climates, this thermal margin is not a specification footnote — it is the difference between a module that lasts eight years and one that fails in three.

Humidity and contamination: PCB conformal coating provides protection against humidity up to 95% RH non-condensing. In coastal installations, paper mills, food processing facilities, and chemical plants where airborne moisture and process vapors are present, the coating prevents the surface leakage and creepage failures that destroy unprotected boards. If the module has been stored in a cold environment and is being installed in a humid facility, allow it to reach ambient temperature before energizing to prevent condensation on internal surfaces.

Electrical noise immunity: Compliant with the full EN 61000-4 immunity test suite — ESD (Level 3), electrical fast transient (Level 3), surge (Level 3), and conducted RF immunity. In facilities with large variable-frequency drives, resistance welders, or high-current bus switching, this immunity level prevents the noise coupling that causes spurious CPU resets, corrupted analog readings, and unexplained I/O faults that are misdiagnosed as software or field wiring problems.

Global Express Logistics

Our facility is in Xiamen, Fujian — a primary export hub with direct access to DHL Express, FedEx International Priority, and UPS Worldwide Express gateways. We own the inventory and control the outbound process. There is no third-party warehouse, no drop-ship delay, and no “subject to availability” caveat.

  • Order cut-off: 15:00 CST (UTC+8). Orders confirmed before this time are picked, packed, and handed to the carrier same business day. Orders after cut-off ship the following business day.
  • Export documentation: Commercial invoice, packing list, and HS Code 8537.10 customs declaration are prepared in parallel with packing — not after. There is no administrative delay between “packed” and “cleared for export.”
  • Transit time benchmarks (carrier-quoted from Xiamen): Southeast Asia 1–2 business days; Europe 3–4 business days; North America 3–5 business days; Middle East and Africa 4–6 business days.
  • Tracking: A live carrier tracking number is provided within 2 hours of pickup confirmation. You will have visibility into the shipment before it clears the first sorting hub.
  • Import duties: Buyer’s responsibility. We declare accurate HS codes and true commercial values on all export documents. We do not under-declare. Accurate documentation protects your shipment from customs holds and seizure risk.
  • Production emergency escalation: If your plant is down and standard transit time is not acceptable, contact us via WhatsApp before placing the order. We can coordinate priority freight booking on the next available departure from Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport and advise on the fastest available routing to your destination.

The logistics chain is part of the product. A module that arrives in four days when you needed it in two is not a solution. We have shipped to facilities across Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and the Americas under genuine production-down conditions. The process is documented, repeatable, and fast — because it has to be.
