Fault Code F01 / Position Feedback Loss: The potentiometer feedback circuit on the control board loses continuity after prolonged vibration or moisture ingress. Fault Code F07 / Motor Overload Trip Not Resetting: The thermal model logic lives on this PCB. If the actuator has been through repeated stall cycles, the board’s non-volatile memory can latch the overload flag permanently. A power cycle will not clear it. Fault Code F12 / Communication Timeout (PROFIBUS variant): Confirm you are not swapping a standard analog -1SB00 into a PROFIBUS-configured actuator. The suffix matters. -1SB00 is analog I/O. Humidity cycling — the daily condensation and drying cycle in outdoor installations — attacks the edge connector contacts over time. If your actuator has been in service for more than five years in an outdoor or coastal environment, inspect the board connectors for green oxidation before assuming the board itself has failed. Clean contacts first. If faults persist, the board is the next step.
