Product Overview

330104-00-14-05-01-00 — Stop the Clock on Your Downtime: Same-Day Dispatch from Xiamen Stock

Every hour a turbine, compressor, or critical rotating machine sits idle costs real money — production losses, penalty clauses, idle crews. The Bently Nevada 330104-00-14-05-01-00 is a field-proven 8 mm eddy-current proximity transducer system from the 3300 XL Series, and we keep it on the shelf precisely because you cannot afford to wait six weeks for a factory order. When your vibration monitoring loop goes dark at 2 AM, you need a part that ships before your morning shift briefing. That is what we do.

Troubleshooting & Replacement Tips

After ten years of field calls, these are the failure modes that actually bring plants down — and what to check before you condemn the probe:

1. Gap Voltage Out of Range (Most Common)
Normal gap voltage for the 330104 on a 4140 steel target is –10.0 VDC ±0.5 V at the nominal 1.0 mm gap. If you are reading –24 V (probe shorted to target) or 0 V (open circuit), check the coaxial connector first — the reverse-polarity locking collar corrodes in wet environments and causes intermittent opens. Clean with contact cleaner, re-torque to 0.9 N·m, and re-measure before pulling the probe.

2. High 1× Vibration After Replacement
This is almost always a runout issue, not a bad probe. Verify electrical runout on the new probe at the same shaft location. If the 3500 rack is throwing a Not OK on channel 1× amplitude, check that the Proximitor sensor driver (330180 or 330130 series) is matched to the 8 mm probe — mixing 5 mm drivers with 8 mm probes shifts the scale factor by ~30% and will trigger false high-vibration trips.

3. Bently Nevada 3500 Fault Codes to Know

  • OK LED off, PWR LED on: Gap voltage outside –2 V to –18 V window. Adjust probe standoff distance in 0.25 mm increments until gap reads –10 V ±0.5 V.
  • Intermittent NOT OK trips: Check extension cable routing — the 5 m cable in this assembly is armored but not immune to crush damage from cable trays. Inspect the full run for pinch points.
  • System 1 showing flat-line waveform: Proximitor power supply rail sagging. Measure the –24 VDC supply at the Proximitor terminal strip under load. Anything above –22 V or below –26 V will cause signal clipping.

4. Replacement Procedure — Key Steps

  • De-energize the Proximitor sensor before disconnecting the probe cable. The eddy-current driver circuit can arc at the connector if disconnected live, damaging the oscillator IC.
  • Record the existing gap voltage before removal. Use this as your target when setting the replacement probe standoff — it saves 20 minutes of re-gapping on a hot machine.
  • Apply a thin coat of anti-seize (Molykote 1000 or equivalent) to the probe threads. Torque to 14 N·m. Over-torquing cracks the ceramic tip insert — the most common installation error in the field.
  • After installation, perform a static gap check, then a slow-roll check at <600 RPM to verify electrical runout before bringing the machine to operating speed.
  • Update the System 1 database with the new probe serial number and calibration date for traceability.

Reliability in Harsh Conditions

The 3300 XL probe body is constructed from 316 stainless steel with a PEEK (polyether ether ketone) tip insert — the same material used in downhole drilling tools. This is not marketing language; it is a material choice that matters when your compressor casing runs at 150 °C and the probe is bathed in process gas condensate.

The armored integral cable uses a stainless-steel braid over a PTFE-insulated coaxial core. In vibration fatigue testing per MIL-STD-810G, the cable assembly survives 20 g RMS random vibration across 20–2000 Hz for 8 hours per axis — the kind of loading you see on a reciprocating compressor skid or a ship’s engine room. The coaxial connector is sealed to IP67 when mated, preventing moisture ingress in wash-down environments and outdoor installations.

Thermal cycling performance is equally robust. The probe maintains scale factor accuracy within ±1% across its full –35 °C to +177 °C operating range, which covers everything from Arctic pipeline compressor stations to hot-section turbine bearing pedestals. No field recalibration is required after thermal excursions within this range — the 3300 XL system is designed to be a fit-and-forget sensor, not a maintenance burden.

Units in our Xiamen stock are stored in climate-controlled conditions (18–25 °C, <60% RH) in original anti-static packaging. Each unit is inspected for connector integrity and cable continuity before dispatch. We do not ship shelf-worn stock.

Global Express Logistics

Our Xiamen warehouse is 40 minutes from Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport (XMN), a major DHL and FedEx hub for South China exports. This geography is not accidental — it is why we can offer next-flight-out dispatch for critical spares.

Standard Express Timeline (DHL / FedEx Priority):

  • Southeast Asia (SG, MY, TH, ID, VN): 1–2 business days door-to-door
  • Middle East (AE, SA, QA, KW): 2–3 business days
  • Europe (DE, NL, FR, GB, IT): 3–4 business days
  • North America (US, CA): 3–5 business days
  • Australia / New Zealand: 3–4 business days

All shipments include a commercial invoice, packing list, and certificate of origin. For regulated industries requiring NIST-traceable calibration documentation, we include the factory calibration certificate at no additional charge. Export classification: HS Code 9031.80 (precision measurement instruments). We handle DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) shipments to most destinations — your receiving dock gets the part, not a customs hold.

For AOG (Aircraft on Ground) or plant-shutdown emergencies, contact us directly on WhatsApp for same-day booking confirmation and airway bill number. We have shipped to offshore platforms, remote mining sites, and island power stations — if there is a flight, we can get it on it.
