Product Overview

330104-02-07-90-02-00 — Stop the Clock on Your Downtime. Ship Today.

Every hour a critical rotating machine sits idle costs real money — compressor trips, turbine shutdowns, pump failures don’t wait for procurement cycles. The Bently Nevada 330104-02-07-90-02-00 is a factory-matched 3300 XL eddy-current proximity transducer system, stocked in Xiamen and ready to move the same day your purchase order clears. No lead-time games, no substitutions — the exact matched assembly your 3500 Series rack expects, shipped via DHL Express or FedEx International Priority directly to your plant gate.

Whether you’re dealing with a false-trip cascade from a degraded Proximitor® output, a probe tip shorted by process fluid ingress, or a cable assembly that failed the last calibration check, this is the part that gets your machinery protection system back online and your operations team off your back.

Troubleshooting & Replacement Tips

After handling hundreds of 3300 XL field replacements, these are the failure modes and swap pitfalls that actually bite engineers on-site:

1. Confirm the fault is in the transducer system, not the monitor card. Before pulling the probe assembly, check the 3500/40M or 3500/42M channel for a “Not OK” LED with the Proximitor® still connected. Measure the Proximitor® output voltage at the field terminal strip. A reading outside –2 VDC to –18 VDC with the shaft stationary at known gap confirms the transducer system has failed — not the rack card. Swapping a good card into a bad transducer loop wastes time and risks damaging the replacement card.

2. Never mix probe and cable from different calibration sets. The 330104-02-07-90-02-00 is a factory-matched assembly. The probe (330104), extension cable (330130-05-00), and Proximitor® (330180) are calibrated together. Mixing components from different serial number sets shifts the scale factor by up to 3–5%, which will cause the 3500 rack to report incorrect vibration amplitude and may mask real machinery faults. Always replace as a complete matched set.

3. Verify the –90– suffix before installation. The –90– in position 4 of the part number designates a standard non-armored extension cable. If your existing installation uses an armored cable (–91– suffix) routed through a high-vibration conduit or near hot surfaces, you need the –91– variant. Installing a non-armored cable in an armored-cable application will result in cable failure within weeks.

4. Check nominal gap at installation. The linear range of this system is centered at approximately 1.27 mm (50 mil) nominal gap, corresponding to a Proximitor® output of –10 VDC. After mechanical installation, verify the static gap with a feeler gauge or by reading the Proximitor® output voltage. A gap outside 0.75–1.75 mm (30–70 mil) will push the measurement into the non-linear region and generate false vibration readings. Adjust the probe mounting depth until the output reads –10 VDC ±1 VDC at rest.

5. Common fault codes on the 3500 rack after replacement:

  • “Not OK” persists after swap — Check that the Proximitor® barrier (if IS-rated installation) is not the failure point. Measure supply voltage at the Proximitor® terminals; must be –24 VDC ±1 V.
  • High static reading / pegged output — Probe tip is too close to target (gap <0.25 mm) or probe tip is contacting the shaft. Re-gap immediately.
  • Noisy / erratic vibration signal — Extension cable routing is picking up EMI from VFDs or high-current cables. Re-route cable away from power conductors; maintain minimum 300 mm separation.
  • Scale factor alarm on 3500 rack after replacement — The rack has the previous probe’s scale factor stored. Navigate to the rack configuration software (System 1 or Rack Configuration Software) and re-enter 7.87 V/mm (200 mV/mil) for this probe series.

6. Target material correction. If your shaft is Inconel, titanium, or aluminum alloy rather than AISI 4140 steel, the factory scale factor does not apply. Contact us for the target material correction factor before installation — running with an uncorrected scale factor on a non-standard target will produce systematic measurement error across the full operating range.

Reliability in Harsh Conditions

The 3300 XL platform was not designed for a climate-controlled instrument room — it was built for the machine deck. The 330104-02-07-90-02-00 carries an IP67 rating, meaning it survives full immersion in water to 1 meter depth for 30 minutes. In practice, that translates to direct steam impingement, high-pressure wash-down cycles, and condensation-heavy environments without seal degradation.

The probe body is constructed from 316 stainless steel with a PEEK (polyether ether ketone) tip insert — a material that maintains dimensional stability from cryogenic temperatures to 250°C and resists attack from hydrocarbons, H₂S, and most process chemicals encountered in refinery and petrochemical service. The extension cable jacket is rated for continuous exposure at +121°C, covering the vast majority of bearing housing and turbine pedestal installations without derating.

Vibration resistance is validated to 20 g RMS broadband (10–2000 Hz) per IEC 60068-2-64, which covers the structural vibration environment of most compressor and turbine foundations. The Proximitor® housing is potted in epoxy, eliminating any internal component movement under shock loads up to 50 g per IEC 60068-2-27. In offshore and marine installations where salt fog is a constant threat, the stainless steel and PEEK construction prevents the galvanic corrosion that destroys aluminum-bodied sensors within a single maintenance cycle.

Every unit we ship has been bench-tested at nominal –24 VDC supply with the scale factor verified against a NIST-traceable reference gap standard. We do not ship untested stock. If a unit fails incoming inspection at your facility within 30 days of receipt, we replace it — no RMA bureaucracy, no restocking fees.

Global Express Logistics

Stock is held at our Xiamen warehouse, positioned specifically for fast international dispatch. Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport (XMN) has direct freight connections to DHL and FedEx international hubs, which means your order does not sit in a domestic consolidation center before it starts moving toward you.

Standard dispatch process: order confirmed → export documentation prepared (commercial invoice, packing list, HS code 9031.80 for proximity transducers) → DHL Express or FedEx International Priority label generated → physical handover to carrier within 24 hours of payment clearance. For orders placed before 14:00 CST, same-day handover is available on in-stock units.

Typical transit times from Xiamen: Southeast Asia 2–3 business days, Middle East 3–4 business days, Europe 3–5 business days, North America 4–6 business days. All shipments include full tracking, and we proactively send you the AWB number the moment the carrier scans the package. For plant shutdowns with hard restart deadlines, contact us directly on WhatsApp — we can coordinate with the freight forwarder to prioritize customs clearance documentation and reduce border dwell time.

Import duties and VAT are the responsibility of the consignee per standard Incoterms (DAP). We provide accurate HS codes and declared values on all commercial invoices to prevent customs holds. For customers in countries with import restrictions on industrial electronics, we can advise on documentation requirements based on prior shipment experience to your region.
