330903-00-23-10-01-00 — Stop the Clock on Your Downtime
Every hour a turbine or compressor sits idle costs real money — production losses, penalty clauses, idle crews. The Bently Nevada 330903-00-23-10-01-00 is a complete 3300 XL Proximity Transducer System: probe, extension cable, and integral Proximitor driver in a single part number. We stock it in Xiamen and ship globally via DHL/FedEx Express. Place your order before 14:00 CST and it moves the same day.

Troubleshooting & Replacement Tips
Pulled from real field experience — the failure modes that actually show up at 02:00 on a shutdown call:
1. Confirm the fault before you pull the probe. On the 3500 rack, check the OK relay status LED and the gap voltage on the monitor front panel. A healthy 330903 system reads –10 VDC ± 1 V at the nominal 50-mil gap. If you see –24 V (rail voltage), the cable is open-circuit. If you see 0 V, the Proximitor driver has lost power or the probe tip is shorted to the target.
2. Gap voltage drift — not always a dead probe. Electrical runout from shaft surface irregularities or residual magnetism can push gap readings outside the OK band. Before condemning the transducer, rotate the shaft slowly by hand and watch for cyclic voltage variation. If the variation tracks shaft position, the issue is target surface quality, not the probe.
3. Cable armor damage is the #1 field failure. Inspect the full cable run for pinch points, conduit entry abrasion, and connector seating. A cracked armor braid causes intermittent shorts that mimic probe failure. Resistance between shield and center conductor should be >10 MΩ; anything lower means cable replacement, not probe replacement.
4. Replacement procedure — zero-downtime swap on a 3500 rack.
- Inhibit the channel on the 3500 monitor (front-panel INHIBIT or via System 1) before disconnecting — this prevents a spurious trip during the swap.
- Record the existing gap voltage and physical gap dimension (use a feeler gauge at the probe tip) before removal. Target: 50 mil (1.27 mm) for standard installations.
- Install the new 330903-00-23-10-01-00. The 3300 XL is pre-calibrated at the factory — no field calibration required when replacing like-for-like on AISI 4140 targets.
- Re-establish the physical gap to the recorded dimension. Verify gap voltage returns to –10 VDC ± 1 V.
- Remove inhibit. Confirm OK relay closes and the monitor returns to normal state.
- Log the replacement in your CMMS with the new probe serial number and date code for API 670 traceability.
5. Non-standard target materials. Titanium, Inconel, and duplex stainless shafts require a target-material calibration curve. Using the standard AISI 4140 calibration on these materials introduces a sensitivity error of up to ±15%. Contact us for the correct calibration data sheet before installation.
6. Common 3500 rack alarm codes related to this transducer:
- NOT OK (NOK) — gap voltage outside –2 V to –18 V window. Check cable continuity and gap dimension first.
- Danger High / Danger Low — vibration amplitude exceeded setpoint. Verify the probe is not loose in its holder; a loose probe generates false high-amplitude readings.
- Bypass Active — channel was inhibited and not re-enabled after maintenance. Always clear inhibit after swap.
Reliability in Harsh Conditions
The 3300 XL platform was engineered for the environments where failure is not an option. The 330903-00-23-10-01-00 probe tip is hermetically sealed and rated to +177°C continuous — covering steam turbine bearing pedestals and hot-section compressor casings without derating. The armored extension cable uses a stainless-steel braid over PTFE-insulated conductors, providing mechanical protection against vibration-induced fatigue at conduit entry points and resistance to the hydrocarbon vapors, H₂S, and cooling water that characterize refinery and offshore environments.
The integral Proximitor driver is potted in epoxy and rated to +85°C ambient, handling the heat soak typical of enclosed junction boxes near hot process equipment. Shock and vibration resistance exceeds IEC 60068-2-6 (sinusoidal, 10–2000 Hz, 20 g) and IEC 60068-2-27 (shock, 50 g, 11 ms half-sine), which means the transducer survives the structural vibration of the machinery it monitors — including the startup transients that stress every component in the loop.
Humidity and condensation are handled by the sealed construction and MIL-spec connector. Units stored in our Xiamen warehouse are kept in anti-static, desiccant-packed packaging and inspected for connector integrity before dispatch. You receive a part that is ready to install, not one that has been sitting in an uncontrolled environment.
Global Express Logistics
Our dispatch hub is in Xiamen, China — a major international freight gateway with daily DHL Express and FedEx International Priority departures. Here is how a typical emergency order moves:
- Order confirmed before 14:00 CST: unit picked, tested, and packed the same afternoon.
- Day 1 evening: collected by DHL/FedEx courier; AWB number sent to you by email.
- Day 2–3: transit to major hubs (Singapore, Dubai, Frankfurt, Memphis) depending on destination.
- Day 3–5: delivery to your plant gate in most of Asia, Europe, Middle East, and North America.
Every shipment includes a commercial invoice, packing list, and certificate of origin — the documents your customs broker needs to clear the shipment without delay. For destinations with import duty sensitivities, we can advise on HS code classification (HS 9031.80 for proximity transducer systems) and provide a detailed technical description to support customs valuation. Expedited customs brokerage can be arranged on request for critical plant shutdowns.
We ship to oil & gas facilities in the Middle East, power plants across Southeast Asia, petrochemical complexes in Europe, and mining operations in South America. If your site has specific carrier or documentation requirements — UN packing certificates, MSDS, or dangerous goods declarations — advise us at the time of order and we will accommodate them.
