330910-00-18-10-02-00 — Stop the Clock on Your Downtime
Every hour a critical machine sits idle costs real money. A failed proximity transducer on a steam turbine, centrifugal compressor, or boiler feed pump is not a scheduled maintenance event — it is an emergency. The Bently Nevada 330910-00-18-10-02-00 is stocked, tested, and ready to leave our Xiamen warehouse today. No lead-time negotiation. No factory back-order. You call, we ship.
This is a complete, matched 3300 XL 8mm proximity transducer system: probe, extension cable, and Proximitor® sensor — calibrated as a set, not assembled from mixed lots. Drop it into your existing 3300 or 3500 rack and you are back online. That is the only outcome that matters when your plant manager is standing behind you.

Troubleshooting & Replacement Tips
Swapping a 330910-series transducer looks straightforward on paper. In the field, three things will bite you if you skip them.
1. Gap voltage verification before you close the housing. After seating the new probe, power the Proximitor and measure the DC gap voltage at the monitor rack input. Target: −10.0 VDC ±0.5 V at the nominal air gap (typically 1.0 mm / 40 mil for radial vibration probes). If you read outside −9.5 to −10.5 VDC, the probe is not at the correct gap — adjust before buttoning up. A wrong gap means the monitor is operating outside its linear range from the moment you restart.
2. Matched system — do not mix cable lots. The 330910-00-18-10-02-00 is factory-calibrated as a probe + extension cable + Proximitor set. Substituting a different extension cable length or a Proximitor from another lot invalidates the calibration. The sensitivity will shift, and your vibration readings will be wrong without any fault alarm. If you must mix components, perform a full system calibration per Bently Nevada procedure before returning to service.
3. Target material scale factor. Factory calibration assumes AISI 4140 steel shaft. If your machine has a stainless steel (316 SS), Inconel, or titanium shaft, apply the published scale factor correction from Bently Nevada Application Note AN-011. Ignoring this introduces a systematic error of 10–25% in your vibration amplitude readings — enough to mask a real fault or trigger nuisance trips.
Common fault codes on 3500 racks when this transducer fails:
- OK LED off / Not OK relay energized — Gap voltage out of range. Check probe gap and cable continuity first.
- Transducer Fault (TF) on 3500/40M — Open circuit in probe cable or extension cable. Measure resistance: probe coil should read 6–8 Ω; extension cable shield continuity should be <1 Ω.
- Proximitor output stuck at −24 VDC — Probe tip shorted to ground (metal contact). Remove probe, inspect tip for damage or conductive contamination.
- High static reading with no vibration change — Probe thermally shifted; allow 20-minute warm-up after installation before accepting baseline readings.
- Intermittent OK/Not OK cycling — Loose TNC connector at the Proximitor input. Torque to 0.9 N·m (8 in-lb) and recheck.
Reliability in Harsh Conditions
The 3300 XL probe body is constructed from 316 stainless steel with a PEEK-tipped sensing face — chemically resistant to the lube oil, seal gas, and process condensate found in turbomachinery bearing housings. The armored probe cable uses a stainless steel braid over a PTFE-insulated coaxial core, rated to 177 °C continuous. It does not soften, crack, or wick oil at the temperatures seen in HP turbine bearing pedestals.
Vibration immunity is not a marketing claim here. The Proximitor enclosure is potted, not just sealed. Internal components are locked against the 2g continuous vibration and 15g shock loads common in compressor trains running on worn foundations. We have seen 3300 XL Proximitors outlast the machines they were monitoring — pulled during decommissioning after 15+ years of continuous service.
Humidity and condensation are handled by the IP67-rated Proximitor housing. In tropical coastal plants where ambient humidity runs above 90% RH year-round, the potted design prevents the internal corrosion that kills unsealed electronics within two to three years. If your site runs hot, wet, and dirty — this system was designed for exactly that environment.
Global Express Logistics
Our warehouse is located in Xiamen, Fujian, China — one of the most logistics-efficient export hubs on the mainland, with direct DHL and FedEx international gateway access. Here is what the shipping timeline actually looks like:
- Order confirmed before 14:00 CST: Same-day dispatch. DHL Express or FedEx International Priority, your choice.
- Transit to Southeast Asia (SG, MY, TH, ID): 2–3 business days door-to-door.
- Transit to Middle East (AE, SA, KW): 3–4 business days.
- Transit to Europe (DE, NL, GB, FR): 3–5 business days.
- Transit to North America (US, CA): 4–6 business days.
- Transit to Australia / New Zealand: 4–5 business days.
Every shipment includes a commercial invoice with accurate HS code 9031.80 (instruments for measuring or checking), a packing list, and a certificate of origin. For plants in free-trade zones or with duty-drawback programs, we can provide additional documentation on request. Tracking numbers are sent within 2 hours of dispatch — not the next morning.
For shutdown situations where air freight is not fast enough, contact us directly. We have coordinated same-day courier handoffs to international freight forwarders for truly critical outages. If you need it there in 48 hours, tell us — we will find a way.
