Fault Code NOT OK / Channel Fault on 3300/16 Monitor
Ninety percent of the time this is a gap voltage out of range, not a dead probe. Before condemning the transducer, check the Proximitor output voltage at the BNC test point. You want −10 VDC ±0.5 V at nominal gap (1.0 mm / 40 mil). If you are reading −24 V or 0 V, the probe tip is either touching the shaft or has pulled out of the bracket entirely. Adjust gap first.

Confirming the Probe is Actually Failed
Disconnect the extension cable at the Proximitor input. Measure resistance across the probe coil pins: you should see 5–8 Ω. An open circuit (OL) or dead short (0 Ω) confirms a failed probe winding.
