IC695CPE330-ABAF: Every Hour of Downtime Costs You — We Ship Today
Your RX3i rack is dark. The line is stopped. Maintenance is standing by. You’ve already confirmed the IC695CPE330-ABAF CPU is the fault — the OK LED is off, the fault table is full, and PME won’t establish a connection. You don’t need a datasheet lecture. You need a replacement module on a plane tonight.
We stock the IC695CPE330-ABAF in Xiamen and ship DHL Express / FedEx International Priority same business day on orders confirmed before 15:00 CST. Transit to most of Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Europe runs 2–4 business days. North America typically 3–5. We’ve done it hundreds of times. We’ll do it for you now.

Troubleshooting & Replacement Tips
After ten years of emergency callouts, these are the failure modes and swap pitfalls that actually bite engineers on the IC695CPE330-ABAF:
1. Confirm the CPU is actually the fault — not the power supply or backplane.
Before you order, pull the IC695PSA140 and measure its 5 VDC and 3.3 VDC rails under load. A sagging supply will kill a CPU’s OK LED and mimic a dead module. Swap the PSU first if you have one on the shelf — it’s a 10-minute test that could save you a week of waiting.
2. Firmware revision mismatch is the #1 swap failure.
The -ABAF suffix is a hardware/firmware revision designator. If your PME project was compiled against firmware 9.30 and the replacement ships with 9.20, the CPU will fault on program load with a “firmware mismatch” error. Before you pull the old module, connect PME, go to Target → Properties → Hardware Configuration, and note the exact firmware version string. We can pre-verify the firmware revision of our stock unit against your requirement — just ask.
3. There are no DIP switches or rotary address selectors on this CPU.
The IC695CPE330-ABAF uses software-configured IP addressing only. On first power-up, the module boots with a default IP of 192.168.0.100 on ETH1. You must connect a laptop directly to ETH1 and use PME’s Set Temporary IP Address utility to assign the correct plant IP before the module will communicate on your network. Do not skip this step — the module will appear dead on the network until it has a valid IP.
4. Back up the program before you pull the old CPU — even if it’s faulted.
If the old CPU still powers on (even in fault), connect PME and attempt an Upload from Controller. A faulted CPU can often still serve its program over Ethernet. This gives you a verified copy of the running program, not just whatever is in your archive. Discrepancies between archive and running program are more common than anyone admits.
5. Clear the fault table and force a cold restart after swap.
After seating the replacement module and downloading the program, perform a Stop/Clear/Run cycle from PME rather than just a warm restart. Residual fault entries from the previous CPU can persist in the backplane’s shared memory and cause spurious I/O faults on the first scan. A cold start clears all retained data and gives you a clean baseline.
6. Check the battery on the replacement unit.
The IC695CPE330-ABAF uses an internal lithium battery (IC695ACC302) to retain the program and data table during power loss. Replacement units from surplus stock may have depleted batteries. Power the module, connect PME, and check the battery status in the diagnostics tab. A low-battery fault will not stop the CPU from running, but you will lose your program on the next power cycle if the battery dies.
Common Fault Codes on This Platform:
- 0x0001 / Hardware Failure — CPU self-test failed. Module is defective. Replace immediately.
- 0x0010 / Firmware Mismatch — PME project firmware does not match CPU firmware. Upgrade CPU firmware via PME before downloading.
- 0x0020 / Configuration Mismatch — Hardware configuration in PME does not match physical rack. Verify slot assignments and I/O module part numbers.
- 0x0040 / I/O Fault — One or more I/O modules reporting faults. Check individual module LEDs before assuming CPU is the cause.
- 0x0080 / Watchdog Timeout — Scan time exceeded configured watchdog limit. Check for infinite loops in structured text or long-running function blocks.
Reliability in Harsh Conditions
The IC695CPE330-ABAF was designed for the kind of environments where control panels get hosed down, ambient temperatures swing 40 degrees between day and night, and the nearest qualified technician is four hours away by truck.
The module’s conformal-coated PCB resists condensation and airborne contaminants — a real concern in coastal chemical plants and offshore platforms where salt-laden air attacks unprotected boards within months. The operating temperature ceiling of +60 °C means the module runs without derating inside a sealed enclosure in a Middle Eastern summer, where panel interior temperatures routinely exceed 50 °C even with thermal management.
Vibration tolerance meets IEC 60068-2-6 (sinusoidal, 10–57 Hz, 0.075 mm displacement; 57–150 Hz, 1 g acceleration), which covers the continuous vibration profiles of compressor skids, pump stations, and rail-mounted control cabinets. The backplane connector is a high-retention design — the module does not work loose under vibration, which is a known failure mode on older VME-based platforms.
EMC immunity is certified to IEC 61000-4 series: ESD (Level 3), radiated immunity (Level 3), fast transient/burst (Level 4), and surge (Level 3). In practice, this means the CPU survives the kind of electrical noise generated by large VFD installations and arc welding equipment operating in the same panel room — environments where lesser CPUs reset or corrupt their programs.
Every unit we ship has been stored in climate-controlled conditions in ESD-safe packaging. We do not warehouse modules in uncontrolled environments. Boards that have been exposed to humidity cycling or temperature extremes during storage show measurable degradation in electrolytic capacitor ESR — we reject those units before they reach you.
Global Express Logistics
Our warehouse is in Xiamen, Fujian Province — one of China’s primary export hubs with direct DHL, FedEx, and UPS gateway facilities. This is not a drop-ship arrangement. The module is physically on our shelf, inspected, and ready to pack.
Order cutoff: 15:00 CST (UTC+8). Orders confirmed with payment before cutoff ship same business day. Orders after cutoff ship next business day.
Carrier options:
- DHL Express Worldwide — 2–4 business days to Southeast Asia, Middle East, Europe. 3–5 days to North America and Australia. Tracking updates every few hours. Our preferred carrier for industrial parts.
- FedEx International Priority — Comparable transit times. Preferred by customers whose receiving departments are already set up for FedEx account billing.
- UPS Worldwide Express — Available on request. Slightly longer transit to some Asian destinations but strong coverage in North America.
Export documentation included with every shipment: commercial invoice (with correct HS code 8537.10), packing list, certificate of origin, and a product description letter suitable for customs clearance in most jurisdictions. We have shipped to over 60 countries. We know what customs in Germany, Saudi Arabia, India, and Brazil need to clear industrial electronics without delays.
For orders requiring an export license or end-user certificate (EUC), contact us before ordering. We will advise on documentation requirements for your destination country and can provide a proforma invoice for your procurement department’s approval process.
Insurance is included on all shipments valued above USD 500. For high-value or multi-unit orders, we can arrange dedicated courier service with real-time tracking and signature-required delivery.
