LSC-096-3-40-560-P5B0R1PM0M: Stop the Clock on Your Downtime — Ship Today from Xiamen
Every hour your line sits idle costs real money. A failed servo motor on a CNC axis, a packaging carousel, or a web-tension drive doesn’t wait for a 6-week factory lead time. The LTI MOTION LSC-096-3-40-560-P5B0R1PM0M is on our shelf in Xiamen right now. We pull, test, pack, and hand to DHL Express the same business day you confirm. That’s the difference between a shift lost and a shift saved.
We’ve shipped this exact part to machine builders in Germany, automotive tier-1 suppliers in Mexico, and food-processing plants in Southeast Asia — all under emergency conditions. The process is the same every time: confirm stock → issue proforma → wire clears → motor ships. No bureaucracy, no excuses.

Troubleshooting & Replacement Tips
Fifteen years of field calls on LTI MOTION LSC motors teach you the same failure patterns every time. Here’s what to check before you even open the terminal box:
Fault F07 / F08 — Encoder / Resolver Signal Loss: Nine times out of ten this is the feedback cable, not the motor. Swap the cable first. If the fault clears, you saved yourself a motor swap. If it persists after cable swap, the resolver winding inside the motor has failed — that’s your replacement trigger. When fitting the new LSC-096, verify the resolver offset angle is re-commissioned in the CDD/CDE drive parameter set (P-0-0508 or equivalent). A wrong offset angle will cause the drive to fault on F02 (overcurrent) at the first motion command.
Fault F02 — Overcurrent at Startup: After fitting a replacement motor, always re-run the drive’s automatic motor identification routine (AMI / auto-tuning). The LSC-096 winding resistance and inductance values must be re-measured by the drive. Copying parameters from the old motor is not sufficient if the replacement unit is from a different production batch — winding tolerances vary by ±8%.
Thermal Shutdown — Drive Reports Motor Overtemperature: The LSC-096 uses a KTY84-130 PTC thermistor embedded in the winding. If the drive reports overtemperature but the motor is cold to the touch, check the thermistor wiring continuity at the feedback connector pins. A broken thermistor wire reads as open-circuit, which most drives interpret as overtemperature. Resistance at 25 °C should be approximately 580 Ω.
Mechanical Replacement Checklist:
- Torque the flange bolts to 12 Nm in a cross pattern — uneven clamping causes bearing preload issues and premature failure.
- Inspect the shaft keyway for fretting corrosion before fitting the coupling. Clean with emery cloth and apply anti-seize compound.
- B0 option means no integrated brake. If your axis is vertical, confirm an external counterbalance or brake is in place before energizing.
- After coupling alignment, rotate the shaft by hand through 360° before powering up. Any roughness or binding indicates bearing damage in transit — do not energize.
- Re-commission the drive’s speed loop and current loop gains after motor swap. The mechanical inertia of the new motor may differ slightly from the worn unit.
Option String Decoder — LSC-096-3-40-560-P5B0R1PM0M:
- 096 — 96 mm flange frame
- 3 — 3 pole pairs
- 40 — 40 Nm rated torque
- 560 — 560 V DC bus voltage
- P5 — Resolver/encoder feedback interface
- B0 — No holding brake
- R1 — Standard cylindrical shaft with key
- PM — Permanent magnet winding
- 0M — Standard additional options
Reliability in Harsh Conditions
The LSC-096 frame was not designed for a climate-controlled lab. It was designed for the floor. The IP65 shaft seal and end-cap gaskets are rated for continuous exposure to coolant mist, metal swarf, and cleaning agents — the daily reality of a CNC machining center. The Class F winding insulation handles sustained ambient temperatures up to 40 °C with full rated torque, and the thermal model built into the CDD/CDE drive provides an additional layer of protection against winding damage during aggressive duty cycles.
Vibration resistance is validated to IEC 60068-2-6 (sinusoidal) and IEC 60068-2-64 (random broadband). In practice, this means the motor survives being mounted on a press bed or a high-speed spindle carrier without bearing fatigue or resolver signal degradation. The rotor is dynamically balanced to G2.5 grade, keeping vibration-induced positioning error below the noise floor of the feedback system.
Humidity is handled by the IP65 enclosure and the winding impregnation process — vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) with Class F varnish. Condensation cycles in unheated factory buildings, common in coastal manufacturing regions, do not penetrate the winding stack. The motor has been validated across temperature cycling from -20 °C storage to +40 °C operating without insulation degradation.
