EMERSON PR6423/00E-030 CON021 — Stop the Clock on Your Downtime. Ship Today.
Every hour a turbine, compressor, or critical rotating machine sits idle costs real money — production losses, penalty clauses, idle crews. When your proximity monitoring system trips on a failed sensor or a dead Proximitor, you don’t need a catalog. You need the part on a plane today. The EMERSON PR6423/00E-030 CON021 eddy current sensor system is on our shelf in Xiamen, inspected, tested, and ready to clear customs before your maintenance window closes.
This is not a refurbished unit dressed up with a cleaning cloth. It is a complete, matched sensor-and-Proximitor assembly — the same PR6423 5 mm eddy current probe paired with the CON021 signal conditioner that your Bently Nevada 3500 or 3300 rack expects. Factory scale factor. Factory calibration curve. No surprises on commissioning.

Troubleshooting & Replacement Tips
Most common failure modes in the field:
1. Proximitor output stuck at rail voltage (–24 V or 0 V)
Nine times out of ten this is a dead CON021, not the probe. Before condemning the sensor, disconnect the extension cable at the Proximitor and measure the probe tip impedance with an LCR meter — a healthy PR6423 reads approximately 1.0 Ω DC resistance and 1.0 mH inductance at 1 kHz. If those numbers check out, the CON021 is your culprit. Order the matched assembly anyway; mismatched scale factors between a new CON021 and an old probe will drift your gap calibration.
2. Intermittent high-spike alarms on the 3500/42M card
Check the extension cable connector at both ends before pulling the sensor. The M12 locking ring on the -030 cable is notorious for micro-fretting in high-vibration installations. Clean the contacts with IPA, re-torque to 0.5 N·m, and re-zero the gap. If the spike persists, the probe coil is cracked — replace the full assembly.
3. Replacing the sensor — step-by-step field procedure:
- Isolate the 3500 rack channel: place the monitor in bypass mode via the rack keypad or System 1 software to suppress spurious trips during swap.
- Record the existing gap voltage before removal (target: –10.0 V ± 0.5 V for a 1.0 mm gap on AISI 4140).
- Remove the locknut and back the probe out slowly — count the turns so you can pre-set the new probe to the same thread depth as a starting point.
- Install the new PR6423/00E-030 to the same thread depth, then fine-adjust gap to achieve –10.0 V ± 0.1 V on the CON021 output. Use a calibrated gap tool or feeler gauge; do not rely on thread count alone.
- Torque the locknut to 5 N·m. Apply thread-locking compound only if specified by the OEM machinery manual.
- Reconnect the CON021, verify output voltage, then remove bypass mode. Confirm the 3500 card shows OK status before returning the machine to service.
- Critical: Do not substitute a CON011 or CON031 Proximitor for the CON021. The scale factors differ (7.87 V/mm vs. 8.0 V/mm). Your vibration readings will be off by ~1.6% — enough to mask a real alarm or generate nuisance trips.
4. Firmware / rack configuration notes:
If you are installing into a 3500/42M or 3500/44M card, verify the transducer type is set to PR6423 / CON021 in the rack configuration software (System 1 or 3500 Rack Configuration Utility). An incorrect transducer selection will apply the wrong scale factor in firmware and invalidate your alarm setpoints. No hardware change required — purely a software parameter, but it bites engineers who swap sensors without opening the config file.
Reliability in Harsh Conditions
The PR6423 probe body is machined from 316L stainless steel with a PEEK-encapsulated coil assembly. That combination was not chosen for aesthetics — it survives continuous immersion in turbine lube oil at 90 °C, resists hydrogen sulfide atmospheres in sour-gas compressor trains, and holds calibration through the thermal cycling that kills lesser sensors within a single season.
Vibration endurance is validated to 20 g RMS broadband (10–2,000 Hz) per IEC 60068-2-64. In practice, units installed on high-speed centrifugal compressors running at 12,000 RPM routinely log five-plus years between planned replacements. The M12 connector system is rated for 500 mating cycles — relevant when your maintenance team pulls the sensor annually for inspection.
The CON021 Proximitor enclosure is rated IP67 and carries ATEX Zone 1 certification, meaning it can be mounted in the field junction box adjacent to the machine rather than routed back to a safe-area panel. That eliminates hundreds of meters of signal cable and the associated ground-loop noise that plagues long cable runs in electrically noisy plant environments.
Every unit we ship has been bench-tested: gap-versus-voltage linearity verified across the full 0–2 mm range, output noise floor measured below 5 mV RMS, and connector integrity confirmed with a pull-force test. Units that do not meet the original EMERSON factory acceptance criteria do not leave our warehouse.
Global Express Logistics
Our warehouse is located in Xiamen, Fujian — one of China’s primary export hubs with direct DHL and FedEx gateway access. Orders confirmed before 15:00 CST ship same business day. Here is what the timeline looks like for the most common destinations:
- Southeast Asia (Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia): DHL Express — 2 business days door-to-door
- Middle East (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar): FedEx International Priority — 3–4 business days
- Europe (Germany, Netherlands, UK): DHL Express — 3–5 business days
- North America (USA, Canada): FedEx International Priority — 3–5 business days
- South America (Brazil, Chile): DHL Express — 5–7 business days (customs clearance variable)
We prepare a complete export package with every shipment: commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, and HS code declaration (HS 9031.80 for proximity sensor systems). For ATEX-certified units, we include the EU Declaration of Conformity and IECEx certificate copies to smooth customs clearance in regulated markets. If your procurement team needs an advance copy of documents for import pre-clearance, request it at order confirmation — we turn those around within two hours.
For genuine emergencies — machine down, production stopped — contact us directly on WhatsApp. We have arranged Saturday dispatch and airport pickup coordination for customers who could not wait for Monday morning freight. That is not a marketing claim; it is what happens when your plant manager is on the phone with the client and needs a sensor on a flight tonight.
