Troubleshooting & Replacement Tips
Before you pull the module: In the 3500 rack, the 135137-01 does not support hot-swap without a bypass relay in place. If you yank it live, the rack will immediately trip all channels tied to that slot. Confirm with your control room that the associated machinery is already tripped or bypassed before proceeding. Document your current Alert and Danger setpoints from System 1 or RCS — these are slot-specific and will not transfer automatically to a replacement module.
Common fault codes and what they actually mean:
- OK LED off, PWR LED solid green: The module has lost communication with the rack interface module (3500/05). Check backplane connector pins for corrosion or mechanical damage before condemning the 135137-01 itself. A bent pin on the backplane connector is a more common root cause than module failure.
