330908-00-28-10-01-CN: Stop the Clock on Your Downtime — Ship Today from Xiamen
Every hour a turbine, compressor, or pump sits idle because a proximity probe has failed, you are burning money at a rate most maintenance budgets cannot absorb. Shaft vibration monitoring goes dark, the protection system trips, and operations halt. The 3300 XL platform is the backbone of rotating machinery protection across power generation, oil & gas, and heavy process industries — and when the 330908-00-28-10-01-CN probe fails, there is no workaround. You need an exact replacement, verified, packaged, and moving toward your site within hours, not weeks.
We stock the Bently Nevada 330908-00-28-10-01-CN at our Xiamen warehouse. Same-day dispatch is available on confirmed orders placed before 15:00 CST. DHL Express and FedEx International Priority are our default carriers. Your machine does not wait — neither do we.

Troubleshooting & Replacement Tips
After ten years of field work on rotating machinery protection systems, the failure patterns on 3300 XL probes are predictable. Here is what you will actually encounter on-site and how to handle it fast.
Fault Code 01 / Gap Voltage Out of Range
This is the most common alarm. The Proximitor output sits outside the −10 to −18 VDC window. Before condemning the probe, check the air gap first. The 8mm probe nominal gap is 1.0 mm (40 mil), producing approximately −10.4 VDC. If the gap is correct and voltage is still off, measure probe tip impedance — a shorted or open coil confirms probe failure. Replace the 330908-00-28-10-01-CN and re-gap to spec before re-energizing the Proximitor.
Intermittent Vibration Spikes / High 1X Amplitude
Ninety percent of the time this is a cable issue, not the probe itself. Inspect the integral 28-inch cable at the probe body exit point — this is the highest-flex zone and where jacket cracking initiates. If the cable is intact, check the coaxial connector for fretting corrosion, especially in high-vibration environments. A corroded center pin will introduce noise that looks exactly like a real vibration event. Clean with contact cleaner, re-torque to 0.9 N·m, and monitor. If the problem persists, swap the probe.
Replacement Procedure — Field Checklist
- De-energize the Proximitor sensor before disconnecting the probe. Do not hot-swap — the coaxial connector is not rated for live insertion.
- Record the existing gap voltage before removal. This gives you a baseline for the new probe installation.
- Clean the probe mounting bore with a lint-free cloth. Any debris on the probe tip face will shift the gap calibration.
- Thread the new 330908-00-28-10-01-CN into the holder by hand until tip contact, then back out to the target gap (1.0 mm / 40 mil). Use a feeler gauge — do not estimate.
- Lock the probe with the jam nut. Torque to 20 N·m. Under-torquing causes probe walk under vibration; over-torquing cracks the probe body.
- Re-energize the Proximitor and verify gap voltage is within −10 to −18 VDC. Log the value.
- Confirm the 3500 rack clears the gap alarm and vibration readings are within baseline. If 1X amplitude is elevated post-replacement, check shaft runout — the probe is not the issue.
- The -CN suffix does not require any DIP switch changes on the Proximitor. Driver compatibility is determined by the -01 position in the part number, not the regional suffix.
Firmware / System Compatibility Note
The 330908-00-28-10-01-CN is hardware-compatible with all 3300 XL Proximitor generations. No firmware update is required on the Proximitor or the 3500 rack when performing a like-for-like probe swap. If you are migrating from a non-XL 3300 series probe, verify the Proximitor model — the 3300 XL Proximitor (330180-series) is required; the older 3300/16 Proximitor is not interchangeable.
Reliability in Harsh Conditions
The 3300 XL 8mm probe is not a laboratory instrument. It is designed to survive the environments that destroy lesser sensors — and the 330908-00-28-10-01-CN is no exception.
The probe body is machined from stainless steel with a hermetically sealed coil assembly. The integral cable uses a fluoropolymer jacket rated to +200°C continuous, with a stainless steel armor braid that resists both mechanical abrasion and chemical attack from lubricating oils, seal gases, and cleaning solvents. In steam turbine bearing pedestals where ambient temperatures routinely exceed 120°C and condensate ingress is constant, this cable construction is what separates a probe that lasts a decade from one that fails in six months.
Vibration immunity is equally critical. The probe mounting system — probe body, jam nut, and holder — is designed to maintain gap stability under continuous broadband vibration up to 20g. In gas compressor applications where the probe itself sits in a high-frequency acoustic field, the factory-torqued jam nut and the rigid probe body geometry prevent the micro-movement that causes gap drift and false alarms.
Humidity and condensation are handled by the hermetic coil seal. There is no moisture ingress path into the sensing element. In offshore and coastal installations where salt-laden air accelerates corrosion on every exposed surface, the stainless probe body and fluoropolymer cable jacket maintain electrical integrity without additional protective measures.
Each unit we ship has been inspected for cable jacket integrity, connector condition, and probe body dimensional compliance. Units showing any sign of jacket cracking, connector fretting, or probe tip damage are rejected. What reaches your site is field-ready.
Global Express Logistics
Our dispatch hub is in Xiamen, Fujian — one of China’s primary export ports with direct access to DHL, FedEx, and UPS international networks. This is not a drop-shipping arrangement. Stock is physically on our shelves, and orders confirmed before 15:00 CST ship the same business day.
Standard routing for urgent orders:
- DHL Express Worldwide: Xiamen → most Asian destinations in 1–2 business days; Europe and Middle East in 2–3 days; Americas in 3–4 days.
- FedEx International Priority: Comparable transit times with strong coverage in North America and Western Europe.
- Export documentation: Commercial invoice, packing list, and certificate of origin are prepared same-day. HS code 9031.80 (measuring/checking instruments) is pre-assigned for customs clearance. FORM E (ASEAN) and EUR.1 (EU) available on request.
- Packaging: The probe is individually wrapped in anti-static foam, placed in a rigid outer carton, and double-boxed for international transit. The probe tip and coaxial connector are protected with dedicated end caps — the two most damage-prone points during shipping.
- Tracking: AWB number and tracking link are sent within 2 hours of dispatch. We monitor shipments actively and flag any customs holds immediately.
For sites in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, or Eastern Europe where DHL and FedEx transit times are longer, we can arrange pre-positioned stock or coordinate with local freight forwarders on your behalf. Contact us with your delivery deadline and we will build the logistics plan around it.
