Troubleshooting & Replacement Tips
Step 1 — Confirm the fault before pulling the card. On the AC500 CPU, check the diagnostic buffer in Automation Builder. A channel-level fault on the SPDS014 will appear as a hardware error on the I/O bus with the module’s slot address. If you see a bus communication fault rather than a channel fault, the issue may be the terminal base (TB511/TB521) or the bus connector — not the module itself.
