Product Overview

ABB DSQC626 3HAC020465-001 — Stop the Clock on Your Robot Downtime

Your IRB arm is frozen. The production line is cold. Every minute of unplanned downtime on a wrist-axis servo failure costs real money — rescheduled shifts, missed shipments, penalty clauses. The DSQC626 (OEM ref: 3HAC020465-001) is the exact motor that brings axis 4, 5, or 6 back to life. We stock it. We ship it today. From Xiamen to your dock in 48–72 hours via DHL Express or FedEx Priority.

This is not a generic listing. This is a field-sourced, inspection-verified ABB OEM servo motor pulled from authorised distribution channels — the same part your robot left the factory with. No adaptation brackets. No firmware workarounds. Bolt it in, re-home the axis, and run.

Troubleshooting & Replacement Tips

Fifteen years of field calls on ABB wrist-axis failures point to the same cluster of root causes. Before you pull the motor, rule these out:

Fault Code 50024 / 50025 — Motor Current Error: This is the most common DSQC626 failure signature on IRC5. The drive detects overcurrent or phase imbalance. First, swap the motor cable (3HAC031683-001) before condemning the motor — a chafed cable at the J4 bend radius causes identical symptoms. If the cable checks out, the motor windings have degraded. Replace the DSQC626.

Fault Code 50056 — Resolver Signal Lost: Resolver connector corrosion at the motor-side M12 plug is the usual culprit in humid or washdown environments. Clean the pins with contact cleaner and re-seat. If the fault persists after a cold restart, the resolver itself has failed — the motor must be replaced. Do not attempt to re-wind or repair the resolver in the field.

Fault Code 38203 — Axis Calibration Error after Motor Swap: Expected. After installing the DSQC626, you must perform a fine calibration on the affected axis using the IRC5 FlexPendant. Navigate to Calibration → Fine Calibration → Axis 4/5/6. Use the calibration marks on the robot arm — do not skip this step or the robot will operate with positional offset and may collide.

Replacement Procedure (Field Summary):

  • De-energise the robot and lock out the IRC5 cabinet. Confirm zero-energy state on the drive module.
  • Manually jog the wrist to a mechanically safe position before removing the motor — gravity-loaded axes can drop when the brake releases.
  • Disconnect the motor power cable and resolver cable. Label both before removal.
  • Remove the four M5 mounting bolts. Extract the motor axially — do not pry against the encoder housing.
  • Install the DSQC626. Torque the mounting bolts to the value specified in the robot’s maintenance manual (typically 6–8 Nm for wrist-axis motors).
  • Reconnect cables. Verify connector locking tabs are fully engaged.
  • Power up the IRC5. Clear active faults. Perform fine calibration on the replaced axis.
  • Run a slow-speed test cycle (25% speed) through the full axis range before returning to production speed.

Firmware Note: The DSQC626 is hardware-compatible across IRC5 RobotWare versions 5.x and 6.x. No firmware update is required on the drive module for a like-for-like motor swap. If you are upgrading from a DSQC400, verify that your RobotWare version is 5.12 or later — earlier versions may require a parameter file update from ABB.

Reliability in Harsh Conditions

ABB engineered the DSQC series for the worst environments on the plant floor — not the clean room. The DSQC626 carries an IP65-rated motor body, meaning pressurised water jets and heavy dust ingress do not penetrate the winding cavity. The resolver is sealed independently, protecting the feedback signal even when the motor exterior is contaminated.

Vibration resistance is validated to IEC 60068-2-6 (sinusoidal) and IEC 60068-2-64 (random broadband), covering the shock profiles generated by high-cycle palletising and press-tending applications. The winding insulation class is F (155 °C), providing thermal headroom in foundry and die-casting environments where ambient temperatures routinely exceed 50 °C.

Every unit we ship has passed a pre-dispatch inspection: winding resistance balance across all three phases, resolver signal amplitude and phase shift verification, mechanical runout check on the output shaft, and visual authentication of the ABB serial label and holographic security mark. Counterfeit motors — a real problem in the grey market — are rejected at intake. You receive a traceable, documented unit.

Global Express Logistics

Our dispatch warehouse is located in Xiamen, Fujian — one of China’s primary export hubs with direct DHL and FedEx gateway access. Orders confirmed before 15:00 CST ship same day. Here is what the timeline looks like from your purchase order to your receiving dock:

  • Day 0 (Order Confirmed): Unit pulled from stock, inspected, anti-static bagged, packed in double-wall carton with foam insert. AWB generated and uploaded to carrier portal.
  • Day 1: DHL Express or FedEx Priority collected from Xiamen facility. Tracking number sent to your email within 2 hours of pickup.
  • Day 2–3: Delivery to most destinations in Southeast Asia, Japan, South Korea, Australia, UAE, and Europe. North America typically Day 3–4 depending on customs clearance speed.

We prepare full export documentation: commercial invoice with accurate HS code 8501.52, packing list, and certificate of origin. For customers requiring an ECCN classification or end-user declaration for import compliance, contact us before ordering and we will prepare the paperwork in advance. We have shipped to over 40 countries without a single customs seizure — because the documentation is correct the first time.

For line-down emergencies, call or WhatsApp us directly. We can arrange Saturday dispatch and courier-to-courier handoff at Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport for shipments that cannot wait for the standard DHL pickup window.
