Step 2 — Power down the chassis completely. The 1747-L20C is a fixed chassis unit — the processor, power supply, and I/O are integrated. You are replacing the entire chassis assembly, not just a plug-in card. Isolate the 24V DC supply feeding the chassis backplane and confirm zero voltage with a meter before proceeding.
