Product Overview

330103-06-16-10-02-00 — Stop the Clock on Your Downtime

Your compressor train just tripped. The DCS is screaming a NOT OK on the radial vibration channel. Maintenance is standing by. Every minute this machine stays offline costs you — and you already know the number. The Bently Nevada 330103-06-16-10-02-00 is the exact probe you need to get that channel back online. We have it. It ships today.

This is not a generic listing. The 330103-06-16-10-02-00 is a precisely configured eddy-current proximity transducer within the Bently Nevada 3300 XL matched system architecture. The suffix string is not cosmetic — each segment encodes a physical parameter: probe tip diameter, cable length, connector type, and output configuration. Ordering the wrong suffix means the system will not calibrate, the scale factor will be off, and your machinery protection monitor will reject the channel. We stock the exact part number. No substitutions, no cross-references unless you authorize it.

Troubleshooting & Replacement Tips

Ten years of field work teaches you that most 3300 XL probe failures fall into four categories. Here is how to diagnose fast and replace right.

Fault Code: Channel NOT OK / Probe Fault
Before you pull the probe, check the proximitor output voltage at the monitor terminal. A healthy 3300 XL system reads between −10 VDC and −18 VDC at the OK setpoint. If you are reading 0 VDC or rail voltage (−24 VDC), the fault is almost certainly in the probe or extension cable, not the proximitor. Disconnect the extension cable at the proximitor end and measure the cable resistance. Open circuit means a broken cable — common after years of vibration fatigue at the conduit entry point. Short circuit usually means probe tip damage from a rub event.

Replacement Procedure — Field Checklist:

  • De-energize the monitor channel before disconnecting. The 3300 XL proximitor operates on −24 VDC; live disconnection will not damage the unit but will generate a spurious alarm.
  • Record the existing gap voltage before removal. Standard gap for radial vibration is −10.0 VDC ± 0.5 VDC (corresponding to approximately 50 mil / 1.27 mm air gap). This is your re-gapping target.
  • The 330103-06-16-10-02-00 uses a matched system calibration. Do not mix probe, extension cable, and proximitor from different matched sets. The scale factor is calibrated as a trio — mixing components shifts the mV/mil output and will cause the monitor to read incorrect vibration amplitude.
  • Re-gap using a non-ferrous feeler gauge or a calibrated gap tool. Rotate the shaft by hand while monitoring the DC output. Confirm the gap voltage is stable within ±0.1 VDC across one full shaft revolution — this rules out shaft runout as a confounding factor.
  • After re-gapping, perform a static calibration check: apply a known displacement using a micrometer stage if available, and verify the output tracks at 200 mV/mil. If the scale factor is off by more than 5%, the matched system components are mismatched — do not commission.
  • Check the OK relay output on the monitor card before returning the machine to service. A latched NOT OK after probe replacement usually means the monitor needs a manual reset, not a second probe failure.
  • Inspect the probe tip for surface contamination. Oil film is acceptable. Metallic debris on the tip will shift the apparent gap and cause erratic readings — clean with isopropyl alcohol before installation.

Common Misdiagnosis: Intermittent high vibration alarms that clear on their own are rarely a probe problem. Check the extension cable connector at the junction box first — corrosion on the BNC or TNC connector causes exactly this symptom. A 10-minute connector clean and re-torque has saved more than a few unnecessary probe replacements.

Reliability in Harsh Conditions

The 3300 XL probe body is constructed from 316 stainless steel with a PEEK (polyether ether ketone) tip housing — a material choice that is not accidental. PEEK maintains dimensional stability from cryogenic temperatures to well above the probe’s rated 177°C operating limit, resisting creep under sustained thermal load that would cause a standard polymer to drift and shift your gap calibration over time.

The coil assembly is encapsulated in a thermally stable epoxy compound that has been qualified through thousands of hours of thermal cycling between −35°C and +177°C. In steam turbine applications where probe body temperatures can spike during a trip event, this encapsulation prevents delamination and coil movement — the two failure modes that cause a probe to pass a bench test but fail in service.

Vibration resistance is not a marketing claim for this product — it is an engineering requirement. The 3300 XL probe is designed to operate in the same environment as the rotating machinery it monitors. Qualification testing includes sinusoidal vibration per IEC 60068-2-6 and random vibration profiles representative of compressor skid installations. The cable-to-probe junction, historically the weakest point in eddy-current systems, uses a strain-relief design that has demonstrated fatigue life exceeding 10 million cycles in accelerated testing.

In offshore and coastal installations where salt fog and humidity are constant threats, the stainless steel body and sealed connector interface prevent the galvanic corrosion that destroys lesser sensors within 18 months. We have seen 3300 XL probes pulled from North Sea platform installations after 12 years of continuous service that still calibrated within specification.

Global Express Logistics

Our warehouse is located in Xiamen, Fujian Province — one of China’s primary export hubs with direct access to international freight lanes operated by DHL Express, FedEx International Priority, and UPS Worldwide Express.

For urgent orders confirmed before 14:00 CST, same-day dispatch is standard. Transit times from Xiamen to major industrial hubs: Frankfurt 2–3 business days, Houston 3–4 business days, Singapore 1–2 business days, Dubai 2–3 business days, Rotterdam 2–3 business days. These are not estimates pulled from a carrier brochure — they are averages from our actual shipment records.

Every shipment includes a commercial invoice with accurate HS code classification (HS 9031.80 for proximity transducer systems), a packing list, and a Certificate of Conformance. For customers in the EU, we prepare EUR.1 movement certificates where applicable to support preferential duty treatment. For customers in the US, we provide the necessary documentation for HTS classification and CBP entry.

Fragile industrial sensors require more than a cardboard box. The 330103-06-16-10-02-00 ships in anti-static foam-lined packaging with a rigid outer carton rated for the drop and compression forces of international air freight handling. The probe tip is individually capped. The cable assembly is coiled to the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius specification to prevent coil damage in transit.

Track your shipment in real time. We provide the carrier tracking number within 2 hours of dispatch. For critical plant shutdowns where the machine cannot wait, contact us directly on WhatsApp for live shipment coordination.
