- Note the RUN/STOP switch position before removal. New module ships in STOP mode by default.
- Seat the replacement G1HCPU firmly into the leftmost slot of the G-Series base unit. The module is keyed — if it doesn’t seat smoothly, do not force it.
- Power up in STOP mode first. Verify the CPU comes online without error LEDs before attempting program download.
- Download the backed-up program via GX Developer. Confirm program checksum matches.
- Set the RUN/STOP switch to RUN. Monitor the first 5 scan cycles for any I/O discrepancies.
- There are no DIP switches or address settings on the G1HCPU itself — the module is auto-addressed by the base unit. No jumper configuration required.
