1. The G93 Option Code Is Not Cosmetic
The “-Z G93” suffix means this unit left the Siemens factory with a specific hardware or firmware configuration — typically a modified control board, special encoder interface, or application-specific parameter set. Before you power up the replacement, pull the parameter backup from the failed unit using DriveMonitor or Starter. If the drive is completely dead and you have no backup, contact Siemens technical support with the serial number to retrieve the factory parameter set. 2. Firmware Version Matching
MATERDRIVES MC drives are sensitive to firmware mismatches between the Control Unit (CU) and the Power Module. Check the firmware version on the CU board (label on the board itself or via P060 parameter readout).
