Common Fault Codes on the 6SE96xx Series:

• F002 — DC Bus Overvoltage: Usually triggered by regenerative load without a braking resistor. Before condemning the drive module, verify the braking chopper and resistor are intact. If the fault persists after a cold restart, the IGBT gate driver board inside the module is the likely culprit — replace the module.
• F005 — Overcurrent / Short Circuit: Check motor cable insulation resistance to ground first (should be >1 MΩ at 500 VDC megger). If insulation is clean, the output phase transistors have failed. This module is not field-repairable — swap it.
