YASKAWA JANCD-NCP01 — Cut the Downtime Before It Cuts Your Margin
Your DX100 or NX100 robot controller just threw a fieldbus communication alarm. The line is stopped. Every minute costs money. You already know the board — JANCD-NCP01 — and you need it now, not in six weeks. We stock it in Xiamen, we ship it today, and it lands at your dock via DHL Express or FedEx Priority in 2–5 business days, anywhere on the planet.
This is not a listing. This is a field-ready supply chain for engineers who cannot afford to wait.

Troubleshooting & Replacement Tips
Ten years on the floor taught me one thing: when the JANCD-NCP01 fails, it rarely fails silently. Here is what you will see and what to do about it.
Alarm 4190 / 4191 — Fieldbus Communication Timeout
This is the most common symptom. The robot controller loses heartbeat with the PLC master. Before you condemn the board, check the cable first — a loose DB9 or a cracked PROFIBUS connector causes 30% of these calls. If the cable is solid and the PLC master shows the node as offline, the NCP01 is the prime suspect.
Alarm 4100 — Board Not Recognized at Power-On
The controller scanned the slot and found nothing. Either the board has failed completely or it was not seated correctly. Power down, reseat the board firmly into the backplane connector, and retry. If the alarm persists after reseating, the board is dead.
Replacement Procedure — Step by Step
- Set the robot to Maintenance Mode from the teach pendant (Main Menu → System → Security → Maintenance Mode). This prevents accidental servo enable during the swap.
- Power down the DX100/NX100 controller completely. Wait 60 seconds for capacitors to discharge.
- Open the controller cabinet. The NCP01 sits in the communication slot on the CPU rack — typically the rightmost slot. Note the slot address before removal.
- Disconnect the fieldbus cable connector from the board. Label it if you have multiple cables.
- Release the board retention latch and slide the JANCD-NCP01 straight out. Handle by the ejector handles only — avoid touching the PCB surface.
- Insert the new JANCD-NCP01 into the same slot. Confirm the slot address matches. The board is keyed — it only seats one way.
- Node address / station number: On DeviceNet and CC-Link variants, the node address is set via rotary DIP switches on the board face. Match the address of the removed board exactly. Photograph the old board before removal if you are unsure of the setting.
- Reconnect the fieldbus cable. Restore power.
- On the teach pendant, navigate to System → Network and verify the board is recognized. The fieldbus status LED on the board face should go solid green within 5 seconds of the PLC master establishing communication.
- Perform a controlled test cycle before returning the cell to production. Confirm all I/O signals are mapping correctly between the robot and the PLC.
Firmware Note: The JANCD-NCP01 carries embedded firmware. In most DX100/NX100 installations, the controller does not push firmware to the communication board — the board runs its own. However, if you are replacing a board after a controller software update, verify the NCP01 firmware revision is compatible with your controller version. Check YASKAWA’s release notes or contact us — we can advise on revision matching.
Protocol Variant Identification: The JANCD-NCP01 is available in DeviceNet, PROFIBUS-DP, and CC-Link variants. The variant is printed on the board label. Ordering the wrong protocol variant is the single most common sourcing mistake on this part. Confirm your fieldbus type before placing the order.
Reliability in Harsh Conditions
YASKAWA designed the NCP series for the environments where robots actually live — not climate-controlled server rooms. The JANCD-NCP01 is validated for continuous operation in conditions that would kill consumer-grade electronics inside a week.
The PCB substrate is rated for sustained operation at 55 °C ambient, which covers the interior of most robot controller cabinets in summer without forced cooling. Conformal coating on the board protects against condensation in high-humidity environments — foundries, food processing, coastal facilities. The board-to-backplane connector is a high-retention, vibration-resistant design that maintains electrical contact under the continuous mechanical vibration typical of press-shop and stamping-line installations.
ESD sensitivity is managed at the design level with transient voltage suppression on all external-facing signal lines. This matters in environments where welding equipment generates significant electromagnetic interference — exactly the environments where YASKAWA robots are most commonly deployed. The board has been validated in arc welding cells where the EMI environment would saturate lesser communication hardware.
Long-term component selection reflects YASKAWA’s industrial-grade sourcing standards: capacitors rated for 105 °C, oscillators with industrial temperature range, and connectors specified for 500+ mating cycles. This is not a board designed to be replaced annually. It is designed to outlast the robot it serves.
Global Express Logistics
We operate from Xiamen, Fujian — one of China’s primary export hubs with direct access to DHL, FedEx, and UPS international gateways. Here is exactly how your order moves:
Day 0 — Order Confirmed: Payment cleared before 14:00 CST triggers same-day pick, inspection, and ESD-safe packaging. The board is wrapped in anti-static film, cushioned in foam, and boxed in a double-wall carton rated for air freight handling.
Day 0 — Export Documentation: Commercial invoice, packing list, and HS code declaration (HS 8537.10 for control boards) are prepared simultaneously. For customers requiring a Certificate of Conformance or material traceability document, these are generated at this stage.
Day 1 — Carrier Pickup: DHL Express or FedEx Priority collects from our facility. Tracking number is sent to you within 2 hours of handover. For urgent shipments, we can arrange FedEx First Overnight to the US or DHL 9:00 service to Europe — contact us before ordering to confirm availability.
Days 2–5 — In Transit: Typical transit times: Southeast Asia 1–2 days, Europe 3–4 days, North America 3–5 days, South America / Middle East / Africa 4–6 days. Customs clearance is the variable — we provide complete, accurate documentation to minimize holds.
Delivery: Door-to-door, with real-time tracking. We monitor shipments actively and intervene with the carrier if a delay is detected. You will not be chasing us for updates — we will contact you first.
