Product Overview

CMC16 200-530-025-014 Down? Every Minute of Turbine Downtime Costs You Real Money — We Ship Today

Your VM600 rack just threw a fault. The CMC16 card is dead. The plant manager is on the phone. You’ve already pulled the module and confirmed it’s not a wiring issue — the card itself has failed. You need a replacement, not a lead time of six weeks from the OEM.

We stock the VIBRO-METER CMC16 (P/N: 200-530-025-014) in Xiamen, China. Same-day dispatch via DHL Express or FedEx International Priority. Most destinations in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Europe receive units within 3–5 business days. No minimum order. No waiting for a distributor to check their warehouse.

If your gas turbine, compressor train, or critical rotating machine is offline right now, this is the page you need.

Troubleshooting & Replacement Tips

After ten years of field work on VM600 systems, these are the failure patterns and replacement pitfalls that actually matter:

Common failure indicators for the CMC16:

  • Rack controller reports Card Not Responding or Communication Fault on the CMC16 slot — this is almost always a hardware failure on the card itself, not a rack issue. Swap the card before touching rack configuration.
  • Intermittent channel dropouts on 4–8 channels simultaneously, while other channels remain stable — points to a failed multiplexer IC on the CMC16 board. Software resets will not fix this.
  • All 16 channels reading rail values (full-scale or zero) after a power surge — the input protection circuitry has been sacrificed. The card is dead; do not attempt to recalibrate.
  • Rack LED shows card present but VM600 software shows Module Initialisation Failed — check firmware version mismatch first (see below), but if firmware matches, the card’s onboard EEPROM has likely corrupted.

Replacement procedure — field checklist:

  • Step 1 — Power down the slot, not the rack. The VM600 supports hot-swap on most configurations, but confirm with your system documentation. If in doubt, take the rack offline. A live swap on a misconfigured system can corrupt the rack controller’s channel map.
  • Step 2 — Record all channel configurations before removal. Export the VM600 configuration via the rack controller software (RCS or equivalent). The CMC16 does not store channel parameters locally — they live in the rack controller. If the controller is healthy, your config is safe. If the controller also failed, you need a backup.
  • Step 3 — Check the slot address. The CMC16 uses automatic slot addressing via the VM600 backplane — there are no physical DIP switches on this card. The rack controller assigns the slot number based on physical position. Ensure the replacement card goes into the exact same slot as the failed unit. Inserting it into a different slot will cause the controller to treat it as a new, unconfigured module.
  • Step 4 — Firmware verification. Before insertion, confirm the firmware revision on the replacement card matches your rack controller’s expected version. Mismatched firmware between the CMC16 and the rack controller (RCS firmware) is the single most common cause of Module Initialisation Failed errors after a card swap. Check the label on the card’s PCB edge for the firmware revision string. If it does not match, contact us — we can often source a specific firmware revision.
  • Step 5 — Post-insertion verification. After the card initialises, run a full channel check in the VM600 software. Verify that all 16 channels are reading within expected ranges. Pay particular attention to channels connected to eddy-current probes — these require a valid gap voltage (typically –10 VDC ±1 V) to confirm probe and cable integrity, not just card function.
  • Step 6 — Alarm setpoint audit. Once channels are confirmed live, audit your alarm and danger setpoints against your machinery OEM’s vibration limits. A card swap is the right time to catch any setpoints that have drifted from the original commissioning values.

What the CMC16 does NOT do: It does not perform relay output switching — that function belongs to the IOC4T or RRIO modules in the same rack. If your relay outputs are also misbehaving, the CMC16 swap alone will not resolve that fault.

Reliability in Harsh Conditions

The VM600 platform, and the CMC16 specifically, was designed for continuous operation in environments that would destroy consumer or light-industrial electronics. The card operates across a wide ambient temperature range and is built to handle the vibration levels present in its own monitoring environment — a design requirement that is more demanding than it sounds.

The PCB uses conformal coating as standard, providing resistance to condensation and airborne contaminants common in compressor halls, offshore platforms, and coastal power stations. The card’s input circuitry is hardened against the transient voltages generated by eddy-current probe systems, which can produce significant voltage spikes during probe disconnection events.

Units in our stock are stored in climate-controlled conditions with anti-static packaging. Surplus new units retain their original conformal coating and have not been subjected to field installation stresses. When you receive the card, inspect the coating under UV light if you have any concerns — genuine VIBRO-METER conformal coating fluoresces distinctly.

For installations in environments with sustained vibration above 2g (e.g., adjacent to large reciprocating compressors), ensure the rack is mounted on vibration-isolating mounts per VIBRO-METER’s installation guidelines. The card itself is rated for the vibration levels it monitors, but the rack mounting is the weak point in high-vibration installations.

Global Express Logistics

Our dispatch hub is in Xiamen, China — one of the country’s primary export ports with direct DHL and FedEx gateway access. This matters when you are counting hours, not days.

  • Order confirmed before 14:00 CST: Same-day dispatch in most cases. We prepare export documentation (commercial invoice, packing list, HS code declaration) in parallel with packaging — no delays waiting for paperwork.
  • DHL Express Worldwide: Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam — typically 2–3 business days. UAE, Saudi Arabia, India — 3–4 business days. Germany, Netherlands, UK — 4–5 business days. USA, Canada — 4–6 business days.
  • FedEx International Priority: Available as an alternative for destinations where FedEx has stronger coverage or where your company has a preferred FedEx account number (we can ship on your account to reduce brokerage costs).
  • Export compliance: The CMC16 is classified as industrial electronic equipment. We handle HS code classification (typically 8537.10 or 9031.80 depending on destination customs interpretation) and provide a detailed commercial invoice that accurately describes the goods. We do not under-declare values — this protects you from customs seizure and protects us from liability.
  • Tracking: Airway bill number provided within 2 hours of dispatch. We monitor shipments proactively and alert you to any customs holds before you need to ask.

For time-critical shipments where the machine cannot wait even 48 hours, contact us directly on WhatsApp. In some cases we can arrange courier pickup within hours of order confirmation.
