Fault Code: OK LED off / -24V supply present but no output signal
Nine times out of ten this is a broken conductor inside the armored cable — usually at the probe body junction where vibration stress concentrates. Before condemning the probe, disconnect the extension cable at the Proximitor® and measure probe tip impedance. A healthy 8 mm probe reads approximately 4.5–5.5 Ω. Check gap voltage first. At nominal 50 mil gap, output should be −10.0 VDC ±0.5 V. If you are reading −24 V (rail), the probe tip is touching the shaft or the gap has closed due to bearing wear. If you are reading 0 V, the probe has lost its oscillator — internal failure. Replace the 1X35668.
