Fault Code: OK/Not OK LED on Proximitor flashing or solid red
This is the most common call I get. Nine times out of ten it’s one of three things: the probe tip has been physically contacted by the shaft during a rub event and the tip face is damaged; the extension cable connector has corroded at the junction (especially in wet gas or coastal environments); or the gap has drifted outside the 10–90 mil linear range due to bearing wear. Check gap voltage first — it should read between -10 VDC and -18 VDC at normal operating gap. If you’re reading -24 VDC (open circuit) or 0 VDC (short), the probe or cable is the culprit.

Replacement Procedure — Key Steps:
