KRC2-00-130-547 Teach Pendant: Stop the Clock on Your Downtime — Ships Within 24 Hours
Every minute a KUKA KRC2 robot sits idle costs real money. A failed teach pendant — cracked housing, dead display, unresponsive E-stop, broken enable switch — is one of the fastest ways to halt an entire welding cell or palletizing line. We stock the KUKA KRC2-00-130-547 specifically because it fails in the field more often than most engineers expect, and because sourcing it through standard channels can take weeks you simply don’t have. We ship from Xiamen within 24 hours of order confirmation. DHL Express to most destinations in 2–4 business days. That’s the difference between a two-day incident and a two-week production loss.

Troubleshooting & Replacement Tips
Ten years of field calls have taught me that the KRC2-00-130-547 fails in predictable patterns. Here’s what to check before you order a replacement — and what to watch for when you install one.
Fault Code KCP: No Communication (Error 1301 / 1302)
This is the most common call I get. The pendant powers on but the KRC2 controller throws a communication fault. Nine times out of ten it’s the cable — specifically the strain relief at the pendant end. Flex it near the connector while watching the fault log. If the error clears intermittently, the cable is the culprit, not the pendant itself. If the fault is persistent with a known-good cable, the pendant’s internal communication board has failed. Replace the unit.
E-Stop Circuit Open (Safety Category 3 Fault)
If the KRC2 refuses to leave T1 mode and the safety log shows an open E-stop channel on the pendant circuit, first verify the E-stop button is fully released (it latches — twist to release). If released and the fault persists, the E-stop contact block inside the pendant has worn out. This is a safety-critical component; do not attempt to bypass it. Replace the pendant.
Enabling Switch Failure (3-Position Switch)
The enabling switch on the KRC2 pendant is a 3-position device: released (off), mid-position (enabled), fully pressed (panic/off). If the robot won’t move in T1 despite correct mode selection, test the switch with a multimeter across the enable circuit pins. A failed switch reads open in the mid-position. Replacement of the full pendant is the field-safe approach — internal switch replacement requires recertification of the safety circuit.
Replacement Procedure — Key Steps
- Power down the KRC2 controller completely. Do not hot-swap the teach pendant — the KRC2 does not support live pendant replacement.
- Disconnect the pendant cable at the controller cabinet connector (bottom-left panel on most KRC2 cabinets). Note the cable routing before removal.
- Connect the replacement KRC2-00-130-547. The KRC2 performs automatic pendant recognition on boot — no address switches or DIP settings required for the standard KCP2 pendant.
- Power on the controller. The KRC2 will initialize the pendant and load the current robot program. Verify the software version displayed on the pendant matches your KRC2 system software (KSS). If there is a mismatch, update via the KRC2 USB port using the correct KSS image before returning to production.
- Perform a full safety check: test E-stop, enabling switch in all three positions, and deadman function before releasing the cell to operators.
Firmware Note: KRC2 systems running KSS 5.x are not compatible with pendants configured for KSS 8.x (KRC4 series). Confirm your KSS version before ordering. If unsure, send us your controller serial number and we’ll verify compatibility at no charge.
Reliability in Harsh Conditions
The KRC2-00-130-547 was engineered for the factory floor, not a lab bench. KUKA designed the KCP2 housing to withstand the mechanical and environmental abuse that comes with daily use in automotive, foundry, and heavy manufacturing environments.
The housing is constructed from glass-fiber reinforced polymer — it absorbs drops from waist height without cracking the internal PCB mounts. The keypad membrane is sealed against coolant mist, cutting fluid splash, and the fine metallic dust that accumulates in machining cells. The LCD is bonded to the front panel to prevent condensation ingress in environments with high humidity cycling — common in facilities that run hot processes and then cool overnight.
Vibration resistance is built into the cable connector design. The 7-pin circular connector uses a positive-locking collar that won’t back out under the constant low-frequency vibration generated by large-frame robots running at full payload. In foundry environments where ambient temperatures regularly exceed 40°C, the internal electronics are rated to operate continuously without thermal throttling or display degradation.
Units we ship have been stored in climate-controlled conditions and inspected for housing integrity, connector pin condition, display clarity, and keypad actuation before dispatch. We do not ship units with cosmetic damage that could indicate prior internal stress.
Global Express Logistics
Our dispatch warehouse is located in Xiamen, Fujian Province — one of China’s primary export hubs with direct access to DHL, FedEx, and UPS international gateways. For urgent industrial replacement orders, this geography matters: Xiamen’s port and air cargo infrastructure means we can cut 12–24 hours off transit times compared to inland Chinese suppliers.
Standard Express Routing: Orders confirmed before 14:00 CST are packed and handed to the carrier the same day. DHL Express and FedEx International Priority are our default carriers for single-unit urgent shipments. Transit times: Southeast Asia 1–2 days, Europe 3–4 days, Americas 4–5 days, Middle East 3–4 days.
Documentation Included: Every shipment leaves with a commercial invoice, detailed packing list, and certificate of origin. For customers requiring customs pre-clearance documentation or specific HS code declarations (HS 8537.10 for this component), we prepare these at no additional charge. We have experience navigating import requirements for industrial automation components in the EU, US, Australia, and GCC countries.
Bulk and Project Orders: For MRO teams stocking multiple KRC2 pendants as spares, or system integrators building out new robot cells, we offer consolidated shipment via air freight or sea freight with full export documentation. Lead time for sourced quantities beyond our immediate stock is 5–10 business days. Contact us with your project timeline and we’ll work backward from your commissioning date.
Tracking: A tracking number is issued within 2 hours of carrier pickup and sent directly to your order email. For urgent orders, we proactively notify you at each major transit milestone.
