6ES7151-1BA02-0AB0 IM151-1 — Every Hour of Downtime Costs You Money. We Ship Today.
Your ET 200S station just dropped off the PROFIBUS segment. The HMI is screaming BF fault. Production is stopped. You’ve already pulled the IM151-1 and confirmed it’s dead — now you need a replacement on-site before the next shift, not in three weeks. That’s exactly why we stock the Siemens 6ES7151-1BA02-0AB0 in Xiamen, ready to pick, pack, and hand to DHL within hours of your order.
This is not a grey-market listing. Every unit we ship is 100% original Siemens hardware, inspected before dispatch, and backed by a 12-month warranty. We’ve handled emergency breakdowns for plants across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Europe — and we know that when you’re on the phone with us at 2 AM, you need answers, not voicemail.

Troubleshooting & Replacement Tips
Swapping an IM151-1 looks straightforward — it’s not. Miss one step and you’ll spend another two hours chasing a ghost fault. Here’s the field-tested sequence:
Step 1 — Record the DIP switch address before you pull the old module. The PROFIBUS node address is set on an 8-position DIP switch on the front face of the 6ES7151-1BA02-0AB0. Photograph it. If the old module is completely dead and you can’t read the switches, check your STEP 7 hardware config or TIA Portal device list — the address is stored there. Mismatch = BF fault on the new module within seconds of power-up.
Step 2 — Power down the 24 V supply to the ET 200S station. Unlike individual I/O modules on terminal modules, the IM151-1 itself is NOT hot-swappable. Cut the 24 V feed to the PM-E power module before removing the interface module. Skipping this step risks corrupting the backplane bus and damaging adjacent I/O modules.
Step 3 — Check firmware compatibility. The 6ES7151-1BA02-0AB0 ships with firmware V2.0. If your existing station was running an older firmware revision and you have technology modules (e.g. counter or positioning modules) installed, verify that those modules are compatible with V2.0. Refer to Siemens compatibility matrix in manual A5E00058783. In most standard DI/DO/AI/AO configurations this is a non-issue.
Step 4 — Set the DIP switches on the new module to match the recorded address. Switch 1 = LSB (value 1), Switch 7 = MSB (value 64). Switch 8 is reserved — leave it OFF. Example: address 5 = switches 1 and 3 ON, all others OFF.
Step 5 — Seat the module firmly on the DIN rail. The IM151-1 clicks into the left-most position of the ET 200S rail. Confirm the bus connector on the right side of the module engages with the first terminal module. A partial seating causes intermittent SF/BF faults that are extremely difficult to diagnose remotely.
Step 6 — Power up and watch the LEDs.
- SF (red) + BF (red) both ON at startup → normal self-test, clears within 2 seconds
- BF stays ON → PROFIBUS address mismatch or master not scanning — recheck DIP switches and master config
- SF stays ON, BF OFF → station configured but one or more I/O modules have a fault — check individual module LEDs
- ON (green) solid, SF/BF OFF → station healthy, data exchange active
- BF flashing at 0.5 Hz → no PROFIBUS connection — check cable termination resistors at both ends of the segment
Common fault codes in STEP 7 / TIA Portal diagnostics:
- 0x0301 / Station failure — IM151-1 not responding; confirm address and cable integrity
- 0x0305 / Configuration error — hardware config in software doesn’t match physical modules; re-download HW config after any module change
- 0x0501 / Module removed — I/O module missing from terminal module slot; check seating of downstream modules after IM swap
Reliability in Harsh Conditions
The ET 200S platform was engineered for the factory floor, not the server room. The 6ES7151-1BA02-0AB0 carries full CE marking under the EU EMC Directive 2014/30/EU and meets EN 61000-6-2 industrial immunity requirements — meaning it’s tested against conducted and radiated interference levels that would crash consumer-grade electronics. The module is UL 508 listed for industrial control equipment use in North American installations.
Vibration resistance is validated to IEC 60068-2-6: 10–58 Hz at 0.075 mm displacement, 58–500 Hz at 1 g. In practice, this covers conveyor drives, compressor rooms, and press-shop environments where constant mechanical vibration is the norm. The conformal-coated PCB inside the housing provides additional protection against condensation and airborne contaminants — a critical factor in food processing and chemical plant installations where humidity swings are frequent.
Operating temperature ceiling of +60 °C means the module survives inside a sealed cabinet on a hot summer day without forced cooling. Storage down to −40 °C covers cold-chain warehouse environments and outdoor equipment rooms in northern climates. Every unit we ship has been stored in a climate-controlled warehouse in Xiamen and arrives in anti-static packaging with a humidity indicator card — if the card shows exposure, we replace the unit before it leaves our facility.
Global Express Logistics
Our warehouse is located in Xiamen, Fujian Province — one of China’s primary export hubs with direct access to Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport and daily DHL Express and FedEx International Priority consolidation flights. This geography is not accidental: it means your emergency order clears Chinese customs faster than shipments originating from inland cities, and connects to major industrial hubs in Europe, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East with minimal transit time.
Standard emergency dispatch process:
- Order confirmed before 14:00 CST → same-day pick, pack, and handover to DHL/FedEx
- Order confirmed after 14:00 CST → next business morning dispatch
- DHL Express transit times: Singapore 1–2 days | Germany 2–3 days | UAE 2–3 days | USA 3–4 days | Australia 3–4 days
- FedEx International Priority available as alternative carrier on request
Every shipment includes a commercial invoice, packing list, and certificate of origin — all documents required for smooth customs clearance in EU, GCC, ASEAN, and North American markets. For orders requiring an ATA Carnet, CITES documentation, or specific HS code declarations, contact us before placing the order and we’ll prepare the paperwork in advance. Tracking numbers are sent via email and WhatsApp within 2 hours of dispatch.
For project orders requiring multiple modules or a full ET 200S station build, we offer consolidated shipment with a single customs entry — reducing your import duty administration and speeding up clearance at destination.
