Troubleshooting & Replacement Tips
Step 1 — Confirm the fault is the module, not the field wiring. Before pulling the card, check the CENTUM VP HIS alarm list for error codes AO-FAIL, IOP (Input Open), or BURNOUT on the affected channels. If all 16 channels report simultaneously, the module itself is the suspect. If only 1–3 channels are flagging, inspect field wiring and terminal block continuity first — a single broken loop does not condemn the whole card.
Step 2 — Slot addressing and auto-recognition. The ADV551 series uses automatic slot addressing via the CENTUM VP I/O nest backplane.
