How to confirm DSQC627 is the failed component — before you order:

On the FlexPendant, navigate to Event Log → System. A dead DSQC627 typically throws one or more of these:

  • 20001 – Power fail: 24 VDC system bus undervoltage. First suspect is always DSQC627 output rail collapse.
  • 20002 – Power supply unit error: Direct PSU fault flag. Confirms DSQC627 internal failure.
  • 50001 – Emergency stop (without any physical E-stop pressed): Can be caused by 24 VDC rail dropout cutting the safety circuit.
  • 38213 – Internal voltage error: Seen on IRC5 Compact when the ±15 VDC analog rail degrades — DSQC627 is the source.

Replacement procedure — field-tested steps:

  1. Power down the IRC5 cabinet fully. Isolate at the main breaker. Wait 5 minutes for capacitors to discharge — the drive section holds significant charge.
  2. Document the existing DSQC627 label: confirm 3HAC020446-001 revision matches your cabinet generation. Rev -001 covers the vast majority of IRC5 installations from 2004 onward.
